YOUR MOST IMPORTANT MDE LESSONIt is now the 80th day of the year, and well, I am shocked at how many have slowed, changed direction, gotten distracted and downright quit.

Today I was kinda stuck about what to teach about… then I went to my cheat sheets…. And found that today is Kevin Federline’s birthday – really? Seriously? The only thing I have to write about is Britney Spears’ cheating family leaving backup dancer ex-husband… I looked again and it is Rosie O’Donnell’s birthday – ok, I could write about how to entertain in your business and then I read the best words ever. IT is Adrian Peterson’s birthday. Well, now there is a great business lesson.

It is Adrian Peterson’s birthday. He is an NFL player for the Minnesota Vikings and a real super star. BUT his football talents are not today’s message, but it is HIS never quit attitude.

Adrian came into the league and quickly

set rushing awards his first 3 years in the league. He suffered a potential career ending injury to his ACL and MCL during the 2011 season and everyone counted him out.

Most athletes are sidelined for minimum 1 whole season or forever, but he set on a journey to make it back the next season. Doctors told him it was impossible. BUT, not only did he make it back for the 2012/2013 NFL season, but he missed the total rushing yards title ever in a single season record by 8 yards and quite frankly it was not him but mismanagement of the clock by his coaches. This athlete, demonstrates what it takes to be an entrepreneur.

He demonstrates that when bad things happen, if you let it stop you, it will. Ever y time I think I have seen it all, such as the IRS garnishing the company payroll money 2 days before payday – not once by twice due to an error in our accounting department…. Or how about

the time when the news reporters were out front because several customers were out of service and mad. Ohhhh and the time, my AR Clerk’s husband decided to come to work with her every day, sit outside the office and watch to see if she was cheating on him with her openly gay boss… sigh… but bad things happen in business all of the time. And they normally happen right in the middle of a vacation or something really great happening.

BUT just like ADRIAN – it is important to focus on returning. He did not let anything distract him. Reporters kept asking him questions during the season, like are you nervous to run on your injured knee? He would reply – NO, I am very focused on winning.

THUS, your lesson today – You have to be FOCUSED on WINNING!

And no matter what, you just can’t stop.

1What does your company do?

We are help women look good! Our practice focuses on Appearance Enhancement Services you can improve your looks, how you feel about yourself and your appearance, and equally important Wow others with your new look.

2What is your favorite marketing tool/

software/program?

Our favorite marketing tool is having our patients/customers use their stories to bring in new business. We also effectively use Daily Deal sites. We figured a way to actually fund all of our equipment using this strategy. This is a no-cost way to acquire our customers. We use all of the strategies from the Million Dollar Equation - from our WOWing Welcome – all the way to our REACTIVATION process – which includes a card instead of Richelle’s Get of Jail Free Card, it says – “Groupon Me Again PLEASE! “ . We watch our numbers closely to insure that we are cash flowing correctly and, it sure is FUN!

All of the examples. We have implemented almost all of the examples that we’ve received from Richelle. We took each one and changed them so they worked for our business, everything that she talks about in her book that she did at her telephone business. We recently went out and purchased a SPIN the WHEEL!

4Where do you see your business in

2013?

Well, March 2013 was our best month ever. We just opened our business last year this time, and it took awhile to understand our market, but each month we interact with our list which is now 579 multiple times throughout the month. This year is easily going to top last year, but with the steady growth, it will easily hit the half a million mark. We are adding 2 new subscription programs for our Lunchtime Facelift and Instant Hair Grow programs. Also, 3 new services to sell to our existing patients

implementation?

Sure – Here is what we did:• New client welcome letter and mini- catalog - Increased upsells• $10 Bill loyalty rewards - Increased additional appts

We are all blessed with the same number of seconds, minutes and hours in a day. I believe in scheduling your success and planning, but I also believe in just making stuff happen. I say to myself, well I guess will sleep when I am dead. (I am not recommending that, but…)

I once heard Tony Robbins (www.tonyrobbins.com) ask the question to his audience, If you do 10 sit ups daily which sit up is the one that makes the difference? No one in the crowd gave the correct answer. For Tony Robbins, the correct answer was Sit Up #11.

Why? He said because it is the extra effort that sparks change. Not your everyday effort.

Change, no matter what kind of change, is a process not an event.

Many people look at success as if it is an event. They believe that change will happen in their life if they:

Pray once - Attend one event - Go to the doctor once - Implement one thingBut true change comes with consistent implementation.

What in your life, in your small business life needs to be changed?

You got to this point in your business over a long period of time. How in the world do you believe that paying a guru, buying a program, attend-ing one event will change your small business?

Change starts with the event, but continues and progresses with consis-tent change and implementation.

Change starts as an event, becomes a habit and then a revolution.

What are you doing to create a revolution in your small business?

This could lead the SMALL BUSINESS NEWS – Are you doing enough? The key word here is “DOING”, not planning enough, not talking about it enough, but make a list of what you are doing every day in your small business. Is it leading to your goal?

Create real change in your small business by just DOING something consistently. No other small business can compete with your consistent implementation. Your competitors can beat you when you only do one thing. Only do one event, but they can not compete against a revolu-tion. Work to create your small business revolution.
