FOOTBALL

Our first Middle School Football game is scheduled for this Thursday night. We will be

playing @ Chickasaw @ 5:00 PM.

Our first Varsity Football game is also scheduled for this Thursday night. We will be

play @ Pensacola Florida vs. Lighthouse Christian. The game begins at 6:00 p.m. The

game will be played @ 2130 Summit Blvd, Pensacola, Florida. Roger Scott Athletic

Complex.

Our first PTFA Meeting and our Meet the Teachers Meeting will take place tonight (Monday, August 22nd) @ 6:30 p.m. in

the gymnasium. All parents are encouraged to attend the meeting and then spend some time with your child's

teachers at the conclusion of the meeting.

Chick-Fil-A Chicken Biscuits will be for sale every Thursday morning from 7:00am-

7:55am in front of the cafeteria.

Smoothie King Smoothies!! The Volleyball team will

be selling Smoothie King Smoothies every Tuesday

morning. We will sell from 7:30-7:50 in front of the

gym. The cost is $3 and the flavors are Strawberry

Kiwi Breeze and Very Berry.

YEARBOOKS We are selling 2016-2017 Yearbooks

now. These yearbooks will cover this

school year. The books are $65 till

September 9th and then they will go up

to $75. Forms can be picked up in the

offices.

There are a few copies of the 2015-2016 Yearbook for those you did not purchase one last year but would like to get one. They are

$75 and it is first come first serve.

Saturday, August 27th – Varsity Basketball Golf Tournament (8:00 a.m.

Springhill) See Coach Adams if you would like to put a team into tournament.

Making Strides against Breast Cancer Walk

*We will have a MCS Leopards team which all are

asked to join. They don’t have to raise money but

since this is a fundraiser they are highly

encouraged to do so. Thanks for your help as we

continue the fight against this horrible disease!

Traffic Notes

Elementary Parents please do not allow your child to get out of your vehicle until one of our staff members can get to you. * Also, Elementary parents: Please do not arrive before 2:35 and Middle and High school parents please do not arrive before 3:05. *Because of traffic congestion on Cottage Hill Road, please make use of both lanes on the North side of campus. *To help keep the area clear for Lower elementary parents to drive through, please do not park your vehicles in front of gym. *Car rider parents please tape your child’s name to the passenger window or use a hanger to hang them from your vehicles rear view window. They are very hard for the teachers to see if they are anywhere else.

AFTER-SCHOOL DAYCARE: After-School Daycare is provided

($5/hr.) until 5:30 pm for students in grades PK3-6th

. The Lower

Elementary Daycare will meet in the lunchroom with Mrs. April

Walker. The Upper Elementary will meet in the upper elementary

lunchroom with Mrs. Cindy Loftin. If you are in need of Mrs. April

or Mrs. Cindy during after school hours, you may contact them at

(Mrs. April- 406-0768) or (Mrs. Cindy-689-9229). Please call the

school and inform the elementary secretaries if you have not

signed up for this service, but would like for your child to stay

after school. Any half days we will offer daycare at the rate of $3

an hour. Students will need to bring lunches and snacks these

days.

BEFORE SCHOOL CARE: IS being offered ($5/hr) in the Spanish

room of the upper Elementary building. Drop off will begin at 6:30

PICTURE DAY

September 19, 2016

The ‘Learning Tree’ will begin in September. It is a “pull out

program” in which students who need additional assistance in

Language Arts are brought to her classroom for one on one

instructional time. Elementary parents interested in utilizing the

‘Learning Tree’ program should contact their child’s teacher or

Mrs. Oakes at 458-4973.

Grand Parents Day Mobile Christian School will observe

Grandparents Day on Friday, September 9, 2016. Registration will

begin in the gym foyer at 8:30.

Service club- meets every Tuesday morning in the cafeteria at 7:30.

Gamma Phi Chi- meets every Monday morning at 7:30 in Mrs. Patrice’s K3

classroom.
