I am a Senior with a double major in Biology and Psychology with a

concentration in pre-med and have been a part of student government for

two years now. I am also on the Women's Lacrosse team and love to spend

time outside or with my puppy. I really want to learn about the needs of

the students and want to help as many of you as possible!

Hi! My name is Melanie Davis, I am a double major in Performing Arts:

Theatre and Elementry Education! I am currently a junior on campus and

work as a Student Admissions Ambassador. I love working with all sorts of

different people and running clubs on campus. I am currently involved with

the Volunteer Center, Christian Fellowship, Beta Lambda, SAC, Pillars

Community Enhancement club, and was Co-President of Harlequin last year.

My name is Noah Henkenius and I am running for Executive Vice President of SGA.

As a senior my goal is ultimately to promote as much positive change on campus in

as short amount of time as possible. My background and current experience is in

wildlife biology and field ornithology. I am very interested in promoting more

sustainable practices on campus and overall making our campus more friendly to

wildlife. Some of my ideas include putting bird feeders in the townhouses and

promoting bird decals on windows to mitigate window collisions.

Hi everybody, my name is Justin Daniels and I am currently a junior at Mcla. I am a

business administration major. I am running for student trustee. If I am elected Student

Trustee, my goal is to be available to all students. I want to be the Trustee that

anybody can feel comfortable communicating positive/negative complaints and

concerns in order to try to implement changes that benefits the entire student body on

campus. If elected, when I show up as the Trustee, WE are ALL showing up. .

Hello everyone, I'm Edgar Perez and I would like to become the MCLA

student trustee for this academic year. Lat year I served as the class

Council president and as a planning chair on the SAC E-board, and I also

was a general member of the BSU (which are all things I hope to do

again this year). I am a triple major in English, Communications, and

Theater with a minor in American Ethnic Studies. I am a person who

likes to really get involved around campus and whom does his best to

get to know everyone. I want to work alongside SGA in order to make

this school a better place and to make sure that the student voices on

and off campus are heard. If you see me around campus or would like to

Hello, my name is Ian Crombie and I am currently a Sophomore here at

MCLA. I go by He/Him/His pronouns and I'm an Arts Management major with

an Art minor. I am currently a part of many groups on campus, including

QSU where I am the Vice President, and DEI. I am running for Resident Seat,

and would love your support. I describe myself as a sociable and

determined person who loves to support others, and I would love to

represent you on the SGA Senate this semester!

My name is Callista Motta, but most people just call me Callie or Cal. My pronouns are she/her/hers and my

major is Political Science. In high school, I was involved in the Model legislature, where we wrote our own

bills and proposed them to the senate. I also was captain of the debate team and won several awards with

the Rhode Island Forensic Leauge. I want to go to law school after getting my political science degree and

eventually run for state senate in my home state of RI. I am a democrat and focus mostly on the

environment and equality. I believe that by getting involved with SGA I can not only help myself grow as a

politically minded person but also do a lot of good for this school. I don't hesitate to ask questions or add my

opinion, so I would be very much involved. I have been told that I have a good work ethic and will dedicate

any free time I have to my position in the SGA. I want to be as involved as possible in any way I can. The SGA

works with just about every area of campus and I will do everything I can to educate myself on the matters

involved. I am also open to ideas, so anyone that wants their voice heard or has a question is welcome to

talk to me. My school never had a student government, but I did what I could to help better my school. I

helped with fundraisers and encouraged others to get involved as well. I'm a good public speaker and won't

hesitate to give a speech when necessary. I am also willing to speak for others if they are too shy. I

encourage others to share their ideas but would never make them too uncomfortable. This is what I'm good

at, and once I'm shown the ropes I truly think that by getting involved with the SGA I can make an impact

that will last.

Hello! My name is Lucien Thomas-Vickory. I am a dual major in English with a focus

in literature and Education with a focus at the secondary level. I grew up in

Beverly Massachusetts where I worked on many local politics issues and assisted

in local council campaigns. I have a huge passion for community and local based

politics, which is why I am running for Senator At-Large with the hopes to

promote more environmentally friendly actions as well as addressing concerns of

students that are brought up.

My name is Kayty A. Young. I am a history major and I intend to

double major in political science. I grew up in Shelburne,

Vermont, just outside of Burlington. With an interest in politics

and a passion for advocacy, I will be running for the senate

seat. I describe myself as a personable person, and I will listen

to the student body and bring their voices to the table. I was on

student council in my senior year of high school, and I have

traveled to the Vermont capitol to speak on behalf of state bills

that were later passed. I am excited to run for this position and

Hello! My name is Crystal and I am currently a Senior at MCLA. I am a Business

Administration major with minors in Leadership and Economics and a

concentration in Accounting. I have held multiple leadership positions on campus,

including Treasurer of the Student Activities Council for 1 year, President of the

Student Activities Council for 2 years, President of the National Society of

Leadership and Success for 2 years, President of Accounting Club for 1 year, I have

also been an Admissions Ambassador for 3 years, and a Peer Mentor multiple

times.

prepare the Class of 2021 for life after graduation, while also ensuring this year is

Hello everyone! My name is Edgar Perez, I served as the class president

last academic year and I hope to do it again. I want to become the

president this year in order to raise more money for our senior year

events, and to help you all out along the way, and now that I have a

Hello fellow members of the Class of 2024. My name is Alexander Holcomb, but

you can just call me Alex. I am a 18 year old freshman from Hartford, NY. In

Hartford I live with my mom, dad, two sisters, and two brothers. I also have two

cats named Winn-Dixie (just like the movie) and Maverick. In my free time I enjoy

playing games, sports, and making new friends. In fact, that is one thing that I

look forward to most at MCLA; making new connections. I am attending MCLA to

pursue a degree in psychology with the hopes of becoming a child/adolescent

psychiatrist one day. Some of you may be asking why I am running for Class

Council. I am running for Class Council because I believe in the power of voice. I also

believe that sometimes we are scared to use our voice because we fear what

others will think of us if we speak up. If I am elected to the Class Council I will

make it my priority to hear out the opinions of those who are scared to express

their opinions. I'm not promising to be perfect at the job, but I am promising that I

Hello, Class of 2024, My name is McKayla Nieves. I am from the city of Methuen,

Massachusetts. I am currently a freshman at MCLA. I will be majoring in Biology with a

Pre-Vet focus and a minor in Environmental studies. I am also a dual-sport student-

athlete. I participate in Lacrosse and Basketball. I also plan to be apart of the Biology

Club and the Environuts Club. Back at home, I spent my free time working part-time as

a Dietary aide at Lawrence General Hospital, and I volunteered at various animal

shelters in my area.

Suppose you will choose me to be VP for the 2024 Student Council. I will work

diligently to build a more unified community and promote diversity in the council. As a

Puerto Rican woman, I believe that I could bring new ideas to the community. My

hopes are that the SGA will reflect the unique relationships that the Student Council

has with the rest of the MCLA community and actively search for ways to make our

time here over the next four years more meaningful and enjoyable.
