MCGRATH Estate Agents loggeda record $5.7 billion in residen-tial sales in the past financialyear, with McGrath Hunters Hillamong the leading offices.
In the year to June 30, McGrathEstate Agents sold 5993 proper-ties worth $5.7 billion, thehighest in its 23-year history.
The figure was 14 per cent upon the previous financial year,when 5095 properties sold for$5 billion.
McGrath Hunters Hill wasamong the standout offices, sell-ing 285 properties for$361 million.
Agent Tracey Dixon had thetop sale with 11A Viret St,Hunters Hill, which she sold withNarelle Scott and NicholasMcEvoy for $7.975 million.
"This was an exceptional homeset on an exclusive peninsula andoccupying a stunning waterfront
position with uninterruptedviews of the Harbour Bridge,- MsDixon said.
"The magnificent home is seton a big block of land andpresented a rare opportunity forfamilies to buy in this exclusivewaterfront enclave.-
Ms Dixon and Lee Dowdall hadthe second and third highestsales with 25 The Point Rd,Hunters Hill selling for$6.8 million and 3 Glenview Cres,Hunters Hill fetching $6 million.
"Hunters Hill is providingquality buying opportunities atthe top end of the market withbuyer activity on the rise," MsDixon said.
She attributed the sales to ahigh standard of marketing, ex-tensive use of the companydatabase, local knowledge andstrong relationships amongagents throughout the network.
McGrath Eastern Suburbs wasthe top office with $1.21 billionfrom 1035 sales.
Chief executive John McGrathsaid for the past two years theoffice had set the residentialsales office Australian record.
"We believe, irrespective ofmarket and economic conditions,good agents can deliver the rightresults for their customers,- hesaid.
"The past 12 months has beensomewhat of a roller-coaster inthe residential sector with manylocations experiencing theirtoughest conditions for manyyears, but I believe our resultsindicate that good sales can stillbe made in less certain times.
"If you price listings correctlyand market them strongly utilis-ing all available sales channels,results will flow."
