McDonald’s Cinnamon Melts Dough 1 pkg. yeast ½ c. warm water ½ c. sugar ½ c. whole milk ½. c. margarine, melted 2 eggs 1 tsp. salt 4 c. flour Filling 1 c. dark brown sugar 2 tbsp. cinnamon 2/3 c. margarine, melted Icing 1/4 c. margarine, softened ½ c. cream cheese, softened 1 ½ c. powdered sugar 1 tbsp milk ½ tsp. vanilla 1. To make the dough, dissolve the yeast in warm water and proof. 2. Mix sugar, milk and margarine in large bowl. Then mix in eggs and salt. Mix in 2 c. of flour. Mix in yeast solution and stir in the remaining 2 cups of flour. Knead. Let rise for 1 ½ hours. 3. Mix filling ingredients 4. Roll the dough until about ½ in. thick. With a pizza cutter, divide the dough into ½” x 1” chunks. 5. Grease the cups of 2 large cup muffin tins. Drop 6 pieces into each cup. Spoon 1 tsp. of cinnamon filling over the dough. Drop 7 more pieces of dough into each cup. Spoon 2 tsp. more of the filling over the dough. Cover and let rise for ½ hour. 6. Preheat oven to 350. 7. Bake for 17 to 20 min. or until light brown. 8. Mix the icing 9. Spoon 1 tbsp of icing over the top or each. Serve right away or cool completely and freeze. To prepare frozen melts, microwave for 35 seconds. Makes 1 dozen
