McDonald’s Cinnamon MeltsDough1 pkg. yeast½ c. warm water½ c. sugar½ c. whole milk½. c. margarine, melted2 eggs1 tsp. salt4 c. flour
Filling 1 c. dark brown sugar2 tbsp. cinnamon2/3 c. margarine, melted
Icing1/4 c. margarine, softened½ c. cream cheese, softened1 ½ c. powdered sugar1 tbsp milk½ tsp. vanilla
1. To make the dough, dissolve the yeast in warm water and proof.2. Mix sugar, milk and margarine in large bowl. Then mix in eggs and salt. Mix in 2 c. of flour. Mix in yeast solution and stir in the remaining 2 cups of flour. Knead. Let rise for 1 ½ hours.3. Mix filling ingredients4. Roll the dough until about ½ in. thick. With a pizza cutter, divide the dough into ½” x 1” chunks.5. Grease the cups of 2 large cup muffin tins. Drop 6 pieces into each cup. Spoon 1 tsp. of cinnamon filling over the dough. Drop 7 more pieces of dough into each cup. Spoon 2 tsp. more of the filling over the dough. Cover and let rise for ½ hour.6. Preheat oven to 350.7. Bake for 17 to 20 min. or until light brown. 8. Mix the icing9. Spoon 1 tbsp of icing over the top or each. Serve right away or cool completely and freeze. To prepare frozen melts, microwave for 35 seconds. Makes 1 dozen
