The distribution channels comprises of distributors who have strong holds

in the bakery marketing

The ownership pattern of the bakery industry is inclined more towards

proprietorship

There is no awareness about the government policies in bakery

industry

It is not the lack of funds; rather it is the tedious procedure in getting financialhelp from government institutions that is the inhibiting factor

The unorganized sector is dominant and 76% companies fall in less than 10 lacs

turnover bracket.

Limitations

Conclusion

The report finds the prospects of the bakery industry and its current position. Themajor areas of weakness require further attention of government and remedial action

by MCCIA. The report evaluates this scenario and concludes that MCCIA can bridge the

gap between government and industry people.

The study was limited up to the Pune city so that results obtained may not be

taken as universal suggestion.
