In eight games as a starter, the Cary, N.C., native averaged 7.9 points in 24.4 minutes last year while only averaging 1.2 points in 9.7 minutes coming off the bench. He started the fi rst seven games of the season in place of injured guard Tay Waller and then started the also started vs. LSU on Feb. 27, totaling 6 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists in 29 minutes.

No. 1 PLAYER IN THE STATE Huntsville's Josh Langford was ranked No. 1 on the fi nal 2010 Birmingham News Boys Super Seniors list last year. He was named the Alabama MVP in the annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic in March 2010 after scoring a game-high 25 points to go along with 9 rebounds while making 11-of-17 shots from the fi eld. He averaged 22 points and 13 re-bounds on the season in leading Lee High School to the Class 5A State Champion-ship as a senior in 2009-10. Langford is the fi rst No. 1 player in the state of Alabama that has signed with Auburn since Selma High School's Doc Robinson signed on Nov. 13, 1995. Rob-inson became a fi rst-team All-American point guard who helped Auburn to the 1999 SEC Championship and a 29-4 record, a state of Alabama Div. I record for wins.

NO SENIORS ON ROSTER There is not one single senior on this year's Auburn's roster. In fact, there is not one player on scholarship who has earned two varsity letters. Junior Frankie Sullivan has lettered twice, but he is out with injury.

High where he averaged 10 points and fi ve assists as a senior.

Auburn also defeated Livingston 49-44 during the 1948-49 season. TONY BARBEE vs. WEST ALABAMA Auburn head coach Tony Barbee is coaching against West Alabama for the fi rst time.

EXHIBITION OPENER IN AUBURN ARENA The Auburn-West Alabama exhibition game on Wednesday is the fi rst exhibi-tion game to be played in the inaugural season opener of Auburn Arena. The Tigers will play host to Columbus State in its second and fi nal exhibition game on Nov. 8.

12% With Frankie Sullivan and Ty Armstrong out with injuries, only 12 percent of Au-burn's scoring returns from last year's 15-17 team.

INJURED TIGERS Auburn lost two starters for this season to injuries in a span of three weeks. 2009-10 SEC STANDINGS Auburn plays its fi rst seven games at home before playing a pair of Big East teams. The Tigers play Rutgers in the DirecTV SEC-Big East Invitational in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Dec. 11 followed by a road game at South Florida on Dec. 15.

QUOTING TONY BARBEE(On Auburn's early season practice) “Practice is coming along at a little bit of a slower pace than I would like, but everything is so new. We are having to put in the entire system from the ground up. It takes time. Obviously, there is not enough time in the day to practice. There are not enough practices in terms with how many we are able to have before the fi rst exhibition game. We are having to pri-oritize it as a staff with the things that are most important that we get in before we hit the court on Nov. 3. After that, we will re-evaluate where we are to our second exhibition game on what we want to get in. I like where we are right now, but we still have a long way to go."

(Is it hard to believe how fast time has gone by with the fi rst exhibition game coming up?) “It is amazing. It seems like I went to sleep after we left the press conference

when we were introduced (on March 24). Things have fl own by, but it has been great getting to know the Auburn family and the Auburn community. I am loving every minute of it as is my family. We are looking forward to getting the season started."

(What are your goals in the fi rst exhibi-tion game?) “Obviously, number one we want to win,

but more important than winning, we want to make sure that we are doing the things that we have to do to be successfu l th is season. For us to be successful, we are going to have to be a scrappy, defensive-mind-ed, tough team because we are behind in a lot of areas. So, those are the things that kind of even out the game with what you do on the de-fensive end of the fl oor and rebound-ing the basketball."
