Student ID, Pin, and Email:

Your Student ID and PIN act as your username and password. They will allow you to access all of the internet-based applications, including your student email, myLSUS, and Moodle.

Your student email will be activated the weekend before classes begin if you are a newly admitted student. Check your student email account multiple times a day, because email is the main method LSU Shreveport uses to send you important information.

If you forgot your Student ID and/or PIN or experience any technology related difficulties, please contact LSU Shreveport Informational Technology Services Department at:

Scheduling Courses:

Our MBA program consists of accelerated courses over a 7 week session. We recommend that students who are working full time take only one course per 7 week session. Once you have become comfortable managing one course within a 7 week session, you may consider taking an additional course as the flexibility of our program allows you to take more or fewer courses depending on your circumstances. The MBA Course Rotation can be found in your MBA Resource Center Moodle course or at: http://www.lsus.edu/academics/graduate-studies/graduate-programs/online-master-of-business-administration. MBA Core Courses: Core courses are required of all MBA students. ACCT 701 Managerial Use of Accounting Data ECON 705 Economic Analysis for Management FIN 701 Financial Management ISDS 702 Quantitative Methods in Business MADM 701 Organizational Behavior MADM 720 Leadership Communication MADM 760 Organizational Strategy and Policies MKT 701 Marketing Strategy MBA Elective Courses: Elective courses are listed under the MBA specializations and concentration options on the next page.

MBA Specializations and Concentration(1): Students pursuing a

general business MBA take two electives of their choice. Students pursuing an MBA with a specialization or concentration take required electives.

• General Business Specialization o Choose any two courses from the specialization/concentration electives,

BADM 790, or ISDS 705(2,3) • Entrepreneurship & Family Enterprise Specialization

o MADM 751: Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Creativity o MADM 752: Small Business and Family Enterprise

(1) A specialization or concentration does not appear on the official transcript,

the degree conferred, or the official diploma. o A specialization or concentration allows for customization of your

educational experience. All diplomas and transcripts will reflect that the degree awarded as the Masters of Business Administration. A certificate of completion or letter indicating the specialization or concentration can be provided if needed.

(2) BADM 790 is the Graduate Seminar in Business course. Topics vary. (3) BADM 790 and ISDS 705 are electives for General Business students only.
