Since then, we have transitioned our focus from contracting into a consulting/embroidery company. I’ve been the president of SKD International for 6 years now. During and after the MBA program here at Villanova, I would like to pursue a role with a large corporate company to gain valuable experience in the financial industry. Also, I plan on pursing my CPA once I have completed 150 total credits. My interests are hockey, golf, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

I have my undergrad from Quinnipiac University and a M.A. in Media Studies and Production from the New School University. After graduation, I was an ad agency producer for five years in NYC. REBECCA BINDERDuring the last two years at Subaru, I have developed an understanding of marketing and sales. By continuing to learn about business structure, the economy and the marketplace, I will further develop my ability to strategize Subaru’s marketing tactics and thus

enhance my potential to move into leadership positions in the future. Both my previous position, National Advertising Production Specialist, and my current role as National Promotion and Sponsorship Specialist require meticulous attention to detail and project management skills, two attributes which are strengths of mine. I have also been tasked with thinking more strategically and analytically—a welcomed challenge that will only be enhanced by obtaining my MBA.

My responsibilities range from understanding our partners business and financial structure to negotiating contracts and activating co-branded events. Clear communication and understanding the business needs of each partner are crucial components to my position. Through courses in this program, I’ll be able to continue to hone my communications skills and to learn about various types of businesses that can help me achieve greater relationships with our partners at Subaru.

I was very excited to be accepted into the online MBA program at Villanova University. Also, I am eager to learn from peers with various backgrounds and industry knowledge. Receiving my MBA will further my professional abilities and bring new perspectives and skills to my career at Subaru of America.

Outside of work, I enjoy running and biking as well as photography.

After graduation, I started my career as a Financial Representative and high school basketball coach. While I enjoyed my time there, I received an offer to join an electrical distributor closer to my home town, where I have been for the past 6 years. My current role carries a few titles, so to sum up I am the Services Business Manager. My main responsibilities involve managing and selling the majority of services that we offer to customers, particularly those in the industrial, commercial and government markets. The individuals I deal with are as diverse as the industries themselves. Depending on the meeting, I may be talking to an electrician at an aluminum manufacturer or the North American CFO of a pharmaceutical company. In pursuing an MBA, my goal is to help my company stay ahead of the curve in an industry that is about to experience a dynamic shift as a result of competition from E-commerce channels. I am excited for this opportunity to learn from everyone involved with the VSB Online MBA program.

DAMARIS DELGADOInspired by a love of learning since youth, I’ve always aspired to be a success by achieving my dreams. I quickly learned, however, that you cannot have success without failure and ever since aspired to conquer my fear of failure. This has led me down an interesting path

from my humble beginnings in Newark, NJ to graduating from Princeton University with a degree in Sociology, and then on to my current role as an Executive Coordinator in the quality assurance and employee engagement program at ARI, a Fortune 100 company.

In this role, I have the opportunity to express my passions for efficiency, creativity, encouragement and fun for the benefit of all. My thirst for knowledge and growth has further inspired me to pursue an MBA at Villanova. When I am not working or traveling, you can find me having fun with family and friends, at church, lost in a good book, organizing and tidying, or dancing circles around my husband at any social gathering. I’m looking forward to being motivated and challenged by the exciting journey ahead. “Success is 99% failure.” –Soichiro Honda

JONATHON O’HORAMy name is Jonathon O’Hora and I am a rather recent graduate, having graduated in 2013 from Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I know this can be kind of a hang-up but I only go by Jonathon and not John, sorry. I grew

up in northeastern Pennsylvania working at my dad’s campground.

After college I took a position as an Applications/Upgrades Engineer in the area I grew up in for Flowserve. I found the job monotonous and unchallenging and left the position for a position with the company I interned with, Dresser-Rand. So these days I work for Dresser-Rand in Corning, NY as a management trainee. This position has been much more challenging and is the career path that I wish to pursue. This management trainee positon has led me to the decision to go back to school for an online MBA at Villanova.

Outside of work I am very busy. I recently bought some land and am in the process of building a house on it. I enjoy being in the outdoors as well as doing anything competitive. I having a hunting dog that is very active and keeps me busy all the time. I look forward to working and getting to know all of you.
