Objectives
• The main objective of a corporate internship is to contribute to the solution of abusiness problem or undertake the study of a relevant issue for a company, applyingthe knowledge and capabilities acquired during the first year of the MBA.
• The project should be clearly defined by the company beforehand, with the aim ofachieving results that are useful to the company.
• A corporate internship project offers an IESE student the possibility of assessing his orher working style and capabilities for a full-time position upon completion of the MBA.

• The corporate internship must be carried out for a maximum of 14 weeks, betweenJune and September.
• Corporate internship projects may include one or more of the following tasks:- Helping solve a specific problem defined by the organization with which the
company requires assistance.- Analyzing certain business areas and offering appropriate recommendations.- Carrying out market studies for the company or for its clients.- Evaluating or implementing new systems within the organization.- Assisting Senior Management or Department Directors with specific projects.- Developing a consulting project.

• The minimum salary suggested by IESE for corporate internships taking place in Spainis 4,900 net for the entire project. Payment Option
• In order to facilitate the employment of these students, IESE offers the option of acontract between the company and the non-profit IESE Trust Fund.
• This contract removes the obligation for the company to pay social security.• The IESE Trust Fund contract is available in both Spanish and English.• Under this contract, the company will not pay a salary, but will instead be giving a
donation to the IESE Trust Fund. Thus, the company will not receive an invoice for thisremuneration. The company will receive a certificate of receipt. This donation is nottax deductible.
• This certificate will be issued when the IESE Trust Fund has received full payment forthe corporate internship project.
Calendar for presentations
MBA Career Services has established specific dates for companypresentations:
• November 27, 2002• February 19, 2003• April 2, 2003
As no classes are scheduled for those days, students will be avaliable for interviewsas well.
The company should add an additional four per cent to the totalpayment to cover the operating costs of processing the paymentthrough the IESE Trust Fund.
• Upon accepting a student for a corporate internship project, the company shouldrequest the IESE Trust Fund contract. Once the company has completed the relevantsections, two copies should be returned to IESE and one copy kept on file at thecompany.
• In order to complete the process, IESE needs the following information from thecompany:
- Government Identification number for the company.- The name and title of the person signing the contract on behalf of the company.
• Payment should be made out to the IESE Trust Fund.• When this type of contract is signed, the student is not considered an employee of the
