TheFirst Nations leadership hasmaintained theirpositionfor thelast week that both the PrimeMinister and the Governor General weretobe in the same room at the same timeto discuss howto rese tthe FirstNati on Crown relationship. “FirstNationscontinuetoextendthisinvitationandweshallseewhetherornotthePrimeMinisterandtheGovernor GeneralwishtobridgethatwidegulfthatexistsbetweentheHarpergovernment’sobjectivesandtheobjectivesof FirstNationsleadershipacrossthiscountry.Iftheydonotshowup,wewilltaketothestreetswithourpeople,with ourdrumsandoursongs.Thatiswherethepoweris”saidAMCGrandChiefDerekNepinak. Chiefs Organization (SCO) reconfirm theircommitment tomeetwithboth the PrimeMinisterand theGovernor

GeneralonJanuary11,2013attheDeltaOttawaCityCentreBallroom. Thisinvitationtomeetstillstandsfroman

earlierinvitationfromtheChiefsofAMC,MKO,SCOalongwithChiefsfromacrossCanada,andtheywillwaitforthe

arrivalofthePrimeMinisterandGovernorGeneraltobothattendthemeetingatthesametime.

TheFirstNationsleadershiphasmaintainedtheirpositionforthelastweekthatboththePrimeMinisterandthe

GovernorGeneralweretobe inthesameroomatthesametimetodiscusshowtoresettheFirstNation–Crown

relationship.

“FirstNationscontinuetoextendthisinvitationandweshallseewhetherornotthePrimeMinisterandtheGovernor

GeneralwishtobridgethatwidegulfthatexistsbetweentheHarpergovernment’sobjectivesandtheobjectivesof

FirstNationsleadershipacrossthiscountry.Iftheydonotshowup,wewilltaketothestreetswithourpeople,with
