Group, Testing & Commissioning:Almost 5 years of experience in
process improvement, quality monitoring & improvement, process
re-engineering, dealing with the union, man management, project
management, change management. As a part of Cross functional team
contributed in various process excellence & quality monitoring
projects. On the other hand executed several projects in
sub-station automation.As a part of CFT Im also versed with

Distribution Related Engineering Asset Management System (DREAMS)
February 2008 to July 2010, Team Size : 10 Identification of
existing processes for Operations & Maintenance activities for
various departments of , standards, procedures followed by
analyzing problem areas. Then process re-engineering by
introduction of an IT driven Asset management system connecting
various departments. Also it required defining individual persons
roles and responsibilities, information flow control, creation of
maintenance regime and test standards. SOP & Maintenance Regime
Formulation February 2008 to July 2008, Team Size : 4 Gathering and
analysing data from Other Utilities, OEMs, and own existing
practices, comparing and finalizing the best practices. Following
best practices creation of SoPs and Maintenance Regime (Breakdown,
Preventive and Condition based ) Reduction of Numerical Relay (IED)
failure for Critical Circuits September 2011 to October 2012 , Team
Size : 5 Significant reduction in failures of Numerical Relays by
by applying quality improvement philosophies like DMAIC ,
identification of root causes for Numerical Relay failures causing
abnormal tripping for Critical circuits, recommending &
implementing feasible solutions. Reduction of Feeder tripping by
application of CBM and RCA June 2008 to June 2012, Team Size : 10
Part of the quality improvement initiative at CESC Ltd. Significant
reduction in EHV and HV feeder tripping incidents by application of
Preventive Maintenance, Condition Based Maintenance philosophy and
Root Cause Analysis techniques. Dissolve Gas Analysis ( DGA )
Module for DREAMS July 2010 to September 2010 , Team Size: 2 Doing
research on Empirical Method for DGA (required to predict Power
Transformer Failure ). Building prototype for PoC. Deciding on
methods to predict Transformer status from Oil & Dissolve gas
analysis data and indicating transformer status by Green/Orange/Red
in DGA dashboard. I had work very closely with the IT team to
implement this module successfully. Integration of Upstream Fault
Management System (UFMS) and DREAMS March 2011 to July 2011, Team
Size : 2 Creating guidelines for IT department to integrate to
different data capturing system, close monitoring of implementation
process quality & time line. After implementation of this
module UFMS was merged into DREAMS creating more convenience for
the users. Conceptualization & Formulation of T & D
performance indices : SAIFI & SAIDI September 2012 to Present ,
Team Size: 4 The objective of this project to formulate an indices,
calculation methods and required data identification. This index is
a single representation to define the distribution performance of
CESC Ltd.
Substation Automation Projects: Eastern Metropolitan Substation
(220kV) March 2013 , Team Size: 4 Sole responsibility to supervise,
monitor and completion of MR make transformer monitoring device
Trafoguard for 220/132/33 kV auto transformer.
Sinthia Distribution Station (33kV): February 2008 to
March,2008, Team Size: 7 Responsible for replacement of two 33kV
& two 6kV incomer CB for 33/6 kV 12.5 MVA transformer Testing
and Commissioning of Protection system including Electromechanical
& Numerical relays for Transformer & CB, Timing test of CB,
CT & VT test, HV pressure test, Transformer Test.
New Ballygunge (E) Distribution Station (33kV): November 2012 to
January 2013 ,Team Size: 11 Overall supervision of commissioning of
protection system for 33/11 kV transformers, 20 panel 11kV
Switchboard, 9 panel 6kV Switchboard, Relay testing, Timing test of
CB, CT & VT test, HV pressure test, Transformer Test.
Garden Reach Distribution Station (33kV): February 2013 to April
2013 , Team Size: 15 Overall responsibility to commission the
complete protection system & SAT for equipment. This station
has one 33/11-6 kV transformer, one 11kV & one 6 kV
switchboard.
