is under the Caraga Administrative Region
belongs to the 1st District of Surigao del Norte composed of the 9 municipalities in Siargao Island
Located at the Eastern Side of Siargao Island
bounded to the east by Pacific Oceanbounded to the east by Pacific Ocean approx. 20 nautical miles fromthe Philippine Deep Trench
on the Southeastern side is theMunicipality of General Luna – the SurfingCapital of the Philippines, on the south isthe Municipality of Dapa and on the west isthe Municipality of Del Carmen while on thenorth is the Municipality of San Isidro.

composed of 15 barangaysof which 95% are coastal;
total population as of 2008CBMS Survey is 8,805 of which4,487 are males and 4,315 arefemales;
