Its predecessor – the MBF II – set a whole new worldwide standard. The MBF 3.2 has been kitted outwith all of its virtues plus a whole range of added advantages: The ingenious modular MCT system permits the quick and easy exchange of individualsegments right through to the whole knitting headbetween the machine models MV 4-3.2 and MBF 3.2.This quick-change system means greater bulk pro-duction flexibility and economy for every knitting factory.

With a simple type conversion, for instance, the MBF 3.2 can knit not only three-thread fleece but also single jersey structures, plated fabrics, two-thread fleece and even three-thread fleece combined with ground piqué. And all this at ahigh continuous output rate – particularly with OEand blended yarns.

With the increasing use of modern synthetic fabricsand elastomer plating, open-width technology is gaining in importance. Mayer & Cie. open-width devices are designed to match the stringent technical,quality and performance standards of the circular knitting machines. MCT open-width take-down systemsachieve up to 40 rpm in continuous operation both inthe mechanical and the electronic version. With the

utmost reliability. This type of high-speed open-widthtechnology calls for a highly stable frame construction.New drive systems, special inverters, internally devel-oped and modified MCT software, a speed-controlledbraking system and suitably de-signed take-downbearings are just some of the reasons for the ground-breaking new standards set by Mayer & Cie. open-width devices.The brush roller is a standard for agentle open-width technology.

Optimum solution: fleece thread directly onthe needle shank.

This arrangement means that the coarse fleece threadis not placing undue strain on the needle hook andcannot become twisted or displaced. The result: lessstrain on needle latches, and the guarantee of evenplating.

High performance with no ifs and buts.

The MFB 3.2 is just made for economical bulk pro-duction. What it offers is simply reliable productionand reliably simple operation. The wide setting rangepermits the production of a varied spectrum of fabricqualities. The diagonal stitch length adjustmentfunction means that yarn feeder positions remainconstant no matter what the knockover depth. Theuse of individual segments makes the sinkers morequickly accessible. And all at a continuous output –also when working with cotton.

Cost of sinkers halved, improved fabric appearance.

MCT sinker shape, new sinker guidance and MCT sinker cambox with double guidance mean half the degree of wear and guarantee a more even fabric appearance. Here, too, the MCT principle applies: Fewer faults = greater output = lower costs – maintenance costs too!

Quick-change means you knit just what youneed.

The quick-change system is the key to greater flexi-bility and higher profits. Type conversion is simplicityitself by simply exchanging cam segments. Gauge con-version with no need to exchange cam parts andfeeders or diameter conversion within the restric-tion of the frame size – the MBF 3.2 offers practi-cally unlimited scope.

11Simple Operation via Touch Screen Display.

The state-of-the-art, clear touch screen display, whichhas a USB port and permits the wireless transmissionof patterns via a Bluetooth adapter, guarantees easy-to-understand prompting. At 2 GB it has a highmemory capacity. Software updates can be carried out by the user without having to use the MCT service.
