KTI Becomes Official PMKVY Nodal Training Partner For Nine Constituencies
Across Maharashtra And Gujarat
Kohinoor Technical Institute has become the official Nodal Training Partner (NTP) for the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)
for nine constituencies spread across Maharashtra and Gujarat. It is mainly through the efforts of Vivek Chandane, Head-Government Alliances (NSDC & PMKVY), that KTI is now the official NTP for the nine constituencies. This, in effect, means that KTI will be the Skill Advisor to the Member of Parliament (MP) of the constituency. It will monitor the activities of the scheme in the region ensuring its success at the grassroot level. This step is a significant leap for KTI in contributing its might to Skill India Mission.

Vanapurush Jadav Payeng From Assam Visits Kohinoor Education Complex
Kohinoor Education Complex recently had an unusual but prestigious visitor on its campus -Vanapurush Jadav Payeng from Assam. He is known
as Vanapurush or the Forest Man of India, as he single-handedly toiled to convert a sandbar of the Brahmaputra river into a huge forest of 1250 acres by planting trees in the region for more than 30 years. He spent some time on the Kohinoor Business School campus with Kohinoor Education Trust Governing Board Chairman Sunil Karve sharing the story of his life with him. Locals in Assam call the forest Molai Kathoni (Molai’s woods) after Payeng’s pet name, Molai. Molai Kathoni is now home to migrating natural habitat animals like rhinos, elephants, and even the Royal Bengal tiger. Payeng has been awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India this year for his outstanding work in forest conservation. Contributed by KTI CCD and Neel Bhende, KTI
