This has been an exciting month at the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce. National Louis University has offered a 10% discount for Lisle Area Chamber members at their April Business After Hours. Please contact the Chamber office for details about this new benefit.

I look forward every year to our scholarship luncheon. Our

scholarship committee reads each and every application with careful thought. Each year the students exceed expectations in the application process. Their student autobiographical summary, academic record, career goals, extracurricular activities, community service, need, employment, and 2 letters of recommendation make up the criteria on how the student is selected to receive a $500.00 scholarship.

The Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a 5K/10K in the spring at Lisle Community Park and a 5K in November at the same location. A portion of the proceeds is placed in our scholarship fund to be disbursed every year. The Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce is one of the non-profit organizations that volunteers at Eyes to the Skies. There are six non-profits and profits are divided by the amount of hours the organization donates toward this event. All monies we receive from this event are used for scholarships for High School Seniors. I ask you to volunteer at Eyes to the Skies this year. Register online and select the Chamber as your desig-nated non-profit organization, www.eyestotheskies.org. This year 15 scholar-

ships will be given to students. Fourteen scholarships are from the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce scholarship fund. Thank you to Lisle Sav-ings bank for sponsoring an additional scholarship and thank you to Mo-lex, Inc. for sponsoring a student and parents lunch at the event. The names of the students that have been selected to receive the Lisle Area Chamber scholarships are:

Shelby Anderson Samantha Clements Grace Etzkorn Lyndsey Franklin Aditi Jha Matthew Kaufman Hannah Kiesling Haripriya Koritala

Emily Mandel Amanda Marach Sarah Mogensen Heather Nitzki Hannah Prindeville Leah Reeves Katherine Young

It is always an enlightening experience for all who attend this annual luncheon. Visit www.lislechamber.com for your reservation.
