    PA Day May 30, 2014

Just a reminder that Friday, May 30, 2014 is a P.A. day and there is no school for students. Also, Monday, May

19, 2014 is Victoria Day so there will be no school.

Graduation and Movin On Celebrations The end of this school year is two months away, and the transition of our grades 6, 7 and 8 students to PDCI in

    September is fast approaching.

For our grade 8 students, our formal graduation ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 24, here at The

Stewart School, followed by a dance with students from our other Perth area schools held at Perth Collegiate.

Further details will be shared at a later date.

For our grades 6 & 7 students, an informal celebration with a barbecue, and indoor and outdoor activities will

be held on Wednesday, June 25. Their formal graduation ceremony will take place at the end of their grade 8

    year at PDCI.

We look forward to celebrating the growth and development of all of our students who are moving on, and hope

that the many fond memories of their time here at The Stewart will long be remembered.

    EQAO DATES

Grade 3 students and Grade 6 students will be completing their EQAO testing during the two week period of

May 26th to June 6th. It would be in the students interests if appointments such as with the doctor, dentist and optometrist are not scheduled during the testing days. You can help your child be successful by ensuring that he

or she has the following: a good breakfast each morning; a good nights sleep prior to each testing day; and a substantial and healthy lunch.

    Appropriate Dress Code

With the warmer weather approaching, it is a good time to be reminded of the expectations for appropriate dress

at school. In the work place, individuals have a responsibility for their appearance. Students must be neat and

clean in their persons and habits. Appropriate modest dress, suitable to the business of school is required at all

times. Clothing with inappropriate slogans and/or logos, is not allowed. Appropriate footwear is required at all

times. No hats may be worn inside the school (religious headgear excluded). Female students must not wear

tops that expose bra straps or the midriff. Shorts must be of an appropriate length.
