Bible Trivia

What did the Gerasene demoniac do to himself with stones?

[The answer will be given during the Sunday morning welcome by Jeremy.]

Last week’s answer is found in Exodus 3:1. The Lord appeared to Moses in the burning

bush on Mt. Horeb.

Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort Update

Due to the recent tornados throughout the south as well as the heavy flooding in Florida, we

have had several volunteers from our congregation helping in these disaster relief efforts. In

the past few weeks we have helped them load their trucks to take assistance to Arkansas, Ala-

bama, Tennessee, Mississippi and Florida. There were approximately thirty-six deaths in the

tornado outbreaks. The Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort is a work that we support

here at the North View Church of Christ. They provide staple food boxes along with some

other things that people might need to get back on their feet in a time of natural disaster. There

will be further opportunities for our men and women to assist in these efforts. If you are inter-

ested in helping or want more information, please see Wendell Jump for details.

Also Remember In Prayer Our Sick

Sister Edna Eley had been taken to the ER last week but is back at Life

Care continuing her therapy.

Sister Betty Eley was admitted to MRMC last week after suffering from

food poisoning. She is home and feeling better.

Gene Balthaser, father of Doug Balthaser, is home and doing well after

having open heart surgery early last week. Continue to pray for him.

Carol Holton’s recent scans and medical tests have shown no cancer. She

has been down in her back and stayed with Cindy until she feels like going

home again.

Prayers are again requested for Diana Williams, sister of Jamie Tyree. Her

cancer has returned. Jamie asks that we pray for her to be reached by the

gospel. Cards and prayers would be greatly appreciated. 722 Winston

Drive, Seymour, TN 37865.

Thank You

Dear North View Family,

Thank you for the lovely flowers, visits and prayers during the loss

of my sister, Emma Jean Ragsdale. I appreciate you thinking of me during

this difficult time. I ask for continued prayers for my family as we continue

this journey. Thanks again!

In Christian love, Carolyn Baucom
