From Marg Herfst: My heartfelt thanks for all your prayers and cards during recovery of my surgery. It touched my heart as well for your caring sympathy with the passing away of my son, Paul. It is such a blessing to belong to our church family with thanks to the Lord for family and friends for wonderful support. To Pastor Kerkhof, Roger and Debbie Grootenboer for their pastoral care. With Christian Love. Please remember Grace VanRooyen who remains in hospital under doctor’s care. Pray for those confined to homes and care facilities. As we approach the summer months, please let us not forget our special needs members. GRACE CHURCH: Happy Birthday to Marg Rumble, who celebrates her birthday on June 1 and to Ido Nydam, who turns 86 on June 5. May you each have a blessed day! Gertie Wissink would like to thank the congregation for all the support she and Martin received in connection with her recent spinal surgery and for all the prayers sent up on her behalf. Martin and Gertie are thankful to the Lord for the way things all worked out and that prayers have been answered. Thanks once again for all of the prayers, beautiful cards, visits, meals, baked goods -- they were all much appreciated! We are truly blessed by your love and care shown by all. Ray Bouma is recuperating from broken ribs resulting from a fall last weekend. In the course of treatment, it was discovered that he also has a serious aneurysm that will require surgery soon. We pray for God’s care and healing hand in this situation, with peace and strength for Ray and Clara and their family. Edith Brinkman was blessed with a new grandchild on May 14: Johannes David Ren, born to Michael and Toyomi in Japan. Congratulations! Wedding Banns: Nathan Wiersma and Esther Tamminga have indicated their desire to be married. If there are no lawful objections, the ceremony will take place on June 13, 2015 at Grace C.R.C. at 3 pm.   • CALVARY CHURCH: The Wolting family is very thankful for the progress of Tim's recovery at home following the removal of a brain tumor. Please join the family in praying that biopsy results will show the tumor is completely gone, that there is no cancer and that Tim experiences a complete recovery. Thank you for your cares and concerns. Tim, Cheryl, Meredith and Alexandra Wolting Calvary Church would also like to announce the upcoming wedding of Miriam Dall and Joel Brouwer on Saturday, June 6 at 3 pm in our church.     CHURCH COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS The 12th Annual CCS Golf Tournament will be held Sat., June 13th at Blenheim Golf Course. Registration is from 11:30-12:15 with a shot gun start at 12:30. Cost is $100 per golfer (tax receipt of $50), which includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes. To register or for more information call Neil DeGroot at 519-365-5719 or the Chatham Christian School at 519-352-4980. Foursomes or individual golfers are welcome. Donation of prizes would be appreciated. Please drop off at the school.

    Another Dutch Hymn Sing is planned for May 31st in the Living Hope Free Reformed Church at 159 Gregory Drive East, Chatham @ 7.30 p.m. Join us in singing the well-known Psalmen en Gezangen. There will be a social time afterwards.

    Wallaceburg Christian School You are invited to join us for our annual year-end celebration BBQ on Friday, June 12, from 5-6:30 p.m. We will be set up on our back lawn with good food and fellowship, as we end our 54th year of Christian education in Wallaceburg, Dresden and surrounding areas. The meal features our famous Berts Beef on a Bun, along with hot dogs, beans, salad, veggies, chips, drinks and dessert. Cost is a free will donation. Bring your lawn chairs, we look forward to seeing you!

The ceremony will take place at Chatham Christian School gym, on Monday the 15th of June at 8:00pm. The CCHS Graduating Class of 2015 (Grade 12) cordially invites you to attend their graduation ceremony. The ceremony will take place at Chatham Christian School gym, on Tuesday the 23rd of June at 8:00pm. Invitations for graduates grandparents are available at the main office. For the past 34 years, Chatham Christian High School (CCHS) has established a Chatham Community Scholarship Fund to promote the further education of CCHS graduates. Each year we ask for support from staff, student council, and our supporting community. This year we hope to award a scholarship to one or more of our graduating students (Class of 2015) with these funds. Wallaceburg Christian School is looking for an energetic, organized ECE teacher to help launch our optional JK/SK program this coming September 2015.
