STEWARDSHIP OF TREASURE

“I am praying for them…”

Prayer is the foundation of our Faith

and the foundation of Stewardship.

Pray in good times and in bad.

Prayer is always the first best option in any

situation, not just the last resort.

Pray for friends and family and for those

that don’t treat you very well.

Pray to give praise, to thank,

and to ask God for help.

Pray to see what God wants you to do

with the gifts He has given you.

After Jesus had been taken up to heaven the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a sabbath day's journey away.

When they entered the city they went to the upper room where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer, together with some women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.

Beloved: Rejoice to the extent that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is re-vealed you may also rejoice exultantly. Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Give glory to your son, so that your son may glorify you, just as you gave him authority over all people, so that your son may give eternal life to all you gave him. Now this is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. I glorified you on earth by accomplishing the work that you gave me to do. Now glorify me, Father, with you, with the glory that I had with you before the world began.

I believe in one God, the Father almighty,

For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit

was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and be-came man.

PRAYER IN A TIME OF PANDEMIC

O God, whose Only Begotten Son bore the weight of human suffering for our salvation,

hear the prayers of your Church for our sick brothers and sisters

and deliver us from this time of trial.

Open our ears and our hearts to the voice of your Son:

Be not afraid, for I am with you always.

Bless all doctors and nurses, researchers and public servants;

give us the wisdom to do what is right and the faith to endure this hour,

that we might gather once again to praise your name in the heart of your Church,

delivered from all distress and confident in your mercy.

O Mary, you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and of hope.

We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus’ pain,

keeping your faith firm. You, Salvation of the People, know what we need,
