Our team was represented by Sarah Wade, Damian Turco, Michelle Golding and Candice Skelton. The topic of the debate was some- thing along the lines of “that Austra- lian History should be an optional subject in high school”. Our school won the toss and were therefore the Affirmative. All our speakers did very well, but unfortunately on the day did not get the decision. It was nonetheless a very worth- while experience. There will be at least two more debates this term, and the team will undoubtedly get better with each debate. They were excellent ambassadors for our school while at Castle Hill High. Year 10 Cake Stall Congratulations to the Formal Committee and helpers for running a very successful cake stall 10 days ago. We raised $ 429 on that occasion. Thank you to all parents sending cakes in and especially to Mrs. Elysee who did a great job organising the mountains of cake into manageable sizes. Mrs. Welch Year 10 Formal Thank you to all parents for parting with $ 50 for our Formal deposit, however, we are still 23 students short to be able to go ahead with the Formal as we need a minimum of 140 students participating. So on behalf of my year 10 students I would be grateful if parents could encourage their sons and daughters to bring their deposit to the office by Monday. If there is a problem, don't hesitate to ring me. Thank you for supporting a wonderful experience at the end of this year. Mrs. Welch
