May these 50 days of Easter be filled with a real and tangible awareness of God’s love, grace and power manifest in the Resurrection! The beauty of the Northeast Ohio Spring serves as good reminder of the presence of new life. Something new is being created all around and in us. As Dr. David Lose reminds us, ““Resurrection, that is, doesn’t simply answer or end problems, but rather creates something new, and Christian faith does not remove us from the hardships, limitations, and challenges of this life, but creates for us possibili- ties that simply would not be available had God not intervened, first in the raising of Jesus and again by entering into our own lives.” (“Proclaiming an Ongoing Easter”- www.davidlose.net) Let us remember that Easter didn’t appear for us out of nowhere. We deliberately made our way through the Lenten Season, en- gaged and interacting. As a parish, we listened in daily with heart, mind, body, and spirit in Lenten devotion. We learned about unknown saints as we cast our votes in Lent Madness. We been engaged in Sacred Conversations about Hard Issues, which in one way or another, asked, “How do we love like Jesus loves? How do we include like Jesus includes? How do we welcome like Jesus welcomes?” We feasted on fish at the “best fish fry in town” and sang ancient melodies in Taize worship with the larger Epis- copal Church of Lorain County. Some in our parish explored the Book of Common Prayer on Sunday mornings and others spent evenings learning about Holy Currencies. All along, those in feed- ing, teaching, serving ministries continued to feed, teach and serve. The Lenten Season was rich and revealing. It is my hope that the conversations, activity, worship and learning in which we were engaged during Lent will be a catalyst for further conversation, action, worship and learning. The Carillon Rector’s Reflections

Dear Friends, Easter Blessings! May these 50 days of Easter be filled with a real and tangible awareness of God’s love, grace and power manifest in the Resurrection! The beauty of the Northeast Ohio Spring serves as good reminder of the presence of new life. Something new is being created all around and in us. We deliberately made our way through the Lenten Season, en-gaged and interacting. • (continued from front page) During Holy Week we entered stillness and contemplation in ways that are rare. With repetition and darkness, silence and space we walked with our Lord through the last days of his life on earth as a human. Holy Week also invited us into activity that is rare, for we processed with Palms, prayed in front of colorful stations of the Cross which were created around kitchen and coffee tables by groups of parishioners and friends. We washed one another’s feet and witnessed our beautiful worship space stripped in a stark and almost physi-cally painful way. We received a Commun-ion that couldn’t be consecrated on the day we received it. We sat and prayed in dark-ness, gathered around a courtyard fire and then followed the first light of Easter, the Light of Christ into the church at dusk. Through Lent and Holy Week we walked, sang, prayed, spoke and listened. Now it is Easter and the journeys of the past months inform the way we continue this Easter journey. I look forward to seeing you in worship and ministry, in your home and in the community. I look forward to discovering together how God continues to lead St Andrew’s in mission and ministry. Alleluia, Christ is Risen! May we show with our lives and words that Christ is Ris-en, Indeed! Alleluia! Blessings, June

    Mary Magdalene’s Blessing

By Jan Richardson “You hardly imagined standing here, Everything you ever loved, suddenly returned to you, looking you in the eye and calling your name. And now you do not know how to abide this hole in the center of your chest where a door slams shut and swings open at the same time turning on the hinge of your aching and hopeful heart. I tell you, this is not a banishment from the gar-den. This is an invitation a choice, a threshold, a gate This is your life, calling to you from a place you could never have dreamed, but now that you have glimpsed its edge, you cannot imagine choosing any other way. So let the tears come as anointing ,as conse-cration and then let them go . Let his blessing gather itself around you. Let it give you what you will need for this jour-ney. You will not remember the words—they do not matter All you need to remember is how it sounded when you stood in the place of death and heard the living call your name. “ (Jan Richardson, The Magdalene’s Blessing)

The program has been enlightening and has led to some great dis-cussions, as well as some new ideas for St. An-drew’s. The program is based on the Holy Cur-rencies of Time and Place, Wellness, Truth, Rela-tionship, Money and Gracious Leadership. Stay tuned in for more information. If you have any questions or would like a sneak peek, feel free to contact any one of us in the Stewardship 365 group.
