I would also like to thank all the volunteer leaders who a ended our spring leaders training this past week. We appreciate you and everything that you do for the Tama County 4‐H Program. Thank you for all you do and all the me you give!
If you missed the training you will be receiving in the mail the direc ons for comple ng the online training. This training must be completed by June 1st. Remember this training is a required training.

Tama County Fair Scholarship is designed to recognize outstanding high school students who par cipate in the Tama County Fair through 4‐H or FFA. Applica ons may be obtained from your school guidance counselor or the Tama County Extension Office. Applica ons are due June 15, and should be sent to : Tama Co Fair, P.O. Box 243 Toledo, Iowa 52342.
May Livestock ID day Is May 15 You must have all your animals for Tama County Fair 2013 ID in 4honline BY May 15!
If you a ended a weigh in your animal should be in 4honline. If you have not a ended a weigh in YOU MUST ID YOUR ANIMAL IN 4HONLINE! Please be sure and check that all your animals that were ID at a weigh in are also entered in 4honline. If they are not contact the Extension Office ASAP!
Your Leader received the fair books at the April 25 Leaders Mee ng. Your Fair entry form will be inside your book. The fair entry deadline is June 15. Because June 15th is a Saturday we will except fair entry forms in the office un l Monday June 17 before 4:30p.m. or post marked June 17. ANYTHING AFTER JUNE 17 WILL BE A LATE FAIR ENTRY! Be sure to enter EACH class you intend to have an exhibit in and be sure to make an entry for each exhibit!

We are looking for people who are interested in taking photos during the Tama County Fair . We need volunteers to take photos of the livestock shows and other events throughout the fair. These photos would be for the photo album for the Extension Office. You can volunteer to take photos of one show /event or as many as you wish. As in the past the local newspapers staff and Jeff Barker will be taking photos for the newspaper ar cles. The Tama County Extension Office has a camera you can use if you don't have one of your own. If you are interested please contact Darla Thiessen and the Extension Office.

The Deadline to register for the Jr Camp at Pine Lake State Park is June 1st. All Jr 4‐H members should have received a flyer in the mail this past month. If you would like to a end please register soon, space is limited and filling fast. If you need a registra on form please contact the Tama County Extension. This Camp is open to any youth in grades 4th –6th so invite a non 4‐Her to join you !
Fishing Camp
Fishing Camp: Thursday, June 13 Otter Creek Park
This seminar will benefit the beginning angler and also the child who has already begun fishing. Useful and interesting instruction will be provided during the afternoon including fishing safety & ethics, fish biology and behavior, locating fish and pointers to improve success, different lures and baits and their use, general knot tying and casting techniques. A popular portion of the day is the casting practice and “casting golf” followed by an one hour “fun fish”. This camp is open to any youth ages 9-13. Register by contacting Tama County Extension Office.
