Intercessory Prayer Join others for intercessory prayer on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm in the Parish Center.

Mass Intentions Have you ever wanted to do something special for a family member or a friend? Consider having one of our regularly scheduled Masses said for someone, living or deceased. Contact the rectory if you are interested in scheduling a Mass. Typically, a donation goes with the request – a typical donation is $10.

Rosary The rosary is prayed at the following times:

• First Sunday of the month – 30 minutes before each Mass.

• Every Saturday – 30 minutes before the 4 pm Mass.

• First Saturday of the month – 30 minutes before the 9:00 am Mass.

• Every Wednesday – immediately following the 7:30 am Mass.

be having a special teachers/aides meeting in the Parish Center. It’s not mandatory, but will be helpful for the rest of your life. For all those that participated in the Rice Bowl Collection, we collected $716.00. Thank you very much for your support.

Knights of Columbus Raffle

The Knights of Columbus will be selling raffle tickets on Saturday, May 25th/Sunday, May 26th and Saturday,June 1st/Sunday, June 2nd after Mass for a bushel of crabs and a case of beer or soda. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. The raffle will be held on Father’s Day, June 16th. This will help raise funds for the many charitable activities that the Knights are involved in. Thank you for your support.

Feast of our Lady of Fatima The Archdiocese of Washington Division of the World Apostolate of Fatima invites you to participate in a Mass and the rosary in honor of Our Lady of Fatima. The Mass will take place at the Basilica of the National Shrine on Monday, May 13th, at 1:00 pm in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel. Msgr. Mariano Balbago will be the celebrant. Blessings of articles will take place after Mass.

Annual Memorial Day Mass The 43rd Annual Memorial Day Mass at the St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Cemetery will be held on Monday, May 27th at 10:00 am. Fr. David Beaubien, pastor at St. Aloysius Church in Leonardtown, will be the main celebrant. Mass is offered each year at this time for the deceased members of the parishes of St. Mary’s Charles, Calvert, and Prince George’s Counties and especially for those who have passed away during the past year. Commemorative reading of the faithful departed will begin at 9:30 am. The cemetery is located in Helen, MD on Doctor Johnson Road adjacent to the Mother Catherine Academy. An enclosable tent will be erected for everyone’s comfort so the Mass will be held in the cemetery rain or shine. • Mass and Prayers for Healing for Miscarried Babies and Their Parents will be held on Saturday, May 18th at 2:00 pm at St. Andrew Apostle Catholic Church in Silver Spring, MD with Fr. Dan Leary. There will be a reception with a guest speaker immediately following Mass. For more information, contact Miscarried Babies Ministry team Angela & Jeff in So. MD ([email protected]).

• St. Mary’s Youth Memorial Mass is scheduled to take place on Rt. 5 just south of Great Mills Road on Saturday May 18th. The Youth Memorial Service will begin with the recitation of the rosary at 10:00 am and Mass beginning at 10:30 am. If the weather is poor, they plan to move the entire event to Holy Face Church.

• Appraisers Fair will take place at Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall on Saturday, May 18th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Appraisers will be on hand to look at your coins, antiques, and other collectibles. Small fees and item limits apply.

• Women of Faith Continental Prayer Breakfast will be held at Our Lady of the Wayside Parish Hall on Saturday, June 1st at 8:30 am. The guest speaker, Laura Roland, co-founder of "Encounter Grace" will talk about the "Power of the Ordinary," how God uses the ordinary to accomplish great things! The morning will begin with music followed by recitation of the Rosary, breakfast, inspirational talk and closing prayer. The cost is $15, to register call 301-475-7139 or stop by Heavenly Presents. You can also register online at: www.breadoflifecenterforpeace.org. Registration is due by Monday, May 27th. • Quo Vadis Camp for high school aged young men will be held at Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary July 28th – 31st. For four days, high school aged young men, who desire to grow in holiness, will have an opportunity for Mass, prayer, and Eucharistic adoration, as well as time for fraternity, sports, and reflection. Bus transportation is available. More information is available and registration is open at DCpriest.org. • Marian Pilgrimage to Spain, Lourdes, and Fatima with Fr. Paul Nguyen from St. George Catholic Church. The pilgrimage is an 11-day adventure from November 12th – 22nd. They will be stopping in Lisbon, Fatima, Salamanca, Avila, Madrid, Lourdes, Montserrat, and Barcelona. The total cost with airfare, taxes and all applicable fees is $2999 from Washington, DC.
