Restrictions• Do not apply to any crop suffering from stress as a result of drought, water-

logging, low temperatures, pest or disease attack, nutrient or lime deficiencyor other factors reducing crop growth.

• Do not apply to crops undersown with grass, clover or other legumes or anyother broad-leaved crop.

• Do not apply more than once to any cereal crop.• Do not apply within seven days of rolling the crop.• Contract agents should be consulted before using on crops grown for seed.• Due to the high level of activity of the herbicide, special care must be taken

to avoid damage by drift onto broad-leaved plants outside the target area, oronto ponds, waterways or ditches. Thorough cleansing of equipment is alsovery important - see below.

• Only the following sulfonylurea and other ‘ALS inhibiting’ herbicides can beapplied in sequence with Cameo® Max SX®:- Lexus Class- Pacifica

Weed ControlCameo® Max SX® contains thifensulfuron-methyl and tribenuron-methyl,sulfonylurea (ALS inhibitor) herbicides that work predominantly by foliar actionwith some root activity. It controls a wide range of broad-leaved weeds and ismost effective if applied when the weeds are small and actively growing. Goodspray cover of weeds must be obtained and since larger weeds often become

less susceptible, it is important to note the size of each weed at the time ofapplication. Susceptible plants cease growth almost immediately after post-emergence treatment and symptoms can be seen about two weeks after springapplication. It is also important to identify the weeds occurring in the crop andrefer to the weed table to ensure that the weeds present are those susceptibleto Cameo® Max SX®. The susceptibility ratings of weeds in the following tablerefer to good spray cover and good growing conditions.

Weed ResistanceWhen herbicides with the same mode of action are used repeatedly overseveral years in the same field, selection of resistant biotypes can take place. These can propagate and may become dominating. A weed species isconsidered resistant to a herbicide if it survives a correctly-applied treatmentat the recommended dose.

Development of resistance within a weed species can be avoided or delayedby sequencing or tank-mixing with suitable products having a different mode ofaction. For control of Corn Marigold or Chickweed this product must always beapplied with an alternative mode of action product at recommended rates.

A strategy for preventing and managing resistance should be adopted. Furtherdetails and advice on how to implement such a strategy may be obtained fromyour crop advisor or chemical supplier. The Herbicide Resistance ActionCommittee (HRAC) also produces guidelines which may be consulted foradditional information.

Soil and weatherCameo® Max SX® can be used on all soil types. Weed control may be reducedwhen conditions are very dry.

Volume and applicationBEFORE USING CAMEO® MAX SX®, SPRAYING EQUIPMENT MUST BE CLEANAND FREE FROM CONTAMINATION WITH OTHER PESTICIDES.Application should be made in 200 litres of water per hectare using suitableground equipment to give good spray cover of the weeds. Use a conventionalfield crop sprayer at a pressure of 2 - 3 bars and apply as a MEDIUM spray (asdefined by BCPC). Care should be taken not to overlap spray swaths.

MixingQuarter fill the spray tank with clean water, start the agitation and add therequired quantity of Cameo® Max SX® directly to the tank without priorcreaming. Continue agitation while topping up the tank and while spraying.

CompatibilityIn any tank-mix add Cameo® Max SX® to the tank first and ensure it is fullydispersed before adding the partner product. Products should only be tank-mixed if each product can be applied within the label recommendations for itsuse. For further information contact your DuPont distributor.

CropsCameo® Max SX® can be used on all varieties of winter and spring wheat andbarley, oats, rye and triticale.
