Mend-A-Wall is committed to provide quality products and services without compromise. This is supported by well trained staff, which are able to deliver and maintain the highest possible level of sales service and customer care.

Established in 2005, Mend-A-Wall is a specialist installer and renovator of new and existing concrete pre-cast walls and concrete palisade fencing systems. The business concept has proven sustainable and financially viable, and the product service and manufacturing lines have expanded to include the patented and engineer approved X Tend A Wall extension sleeve, the mass production and installation of Concrete Palisade Fencing as well as the manufacturing and distribution of Pre-cast Concrete Kerbs.

Mend-A-Wall was established to address the shortcomings in the concrete pre-cast walling sector, with specific focus on service delivery, quality products and competitive pricing. This culminated in a business model that was able to install new walling, repair and extend existing walls, ‘from one supplier. Not only did the market react positively, but Mend-A-Wall was able to provide products and services that addressed the requirements of their target market under one brand.

Based adjacent to Petit in Benoni, Benoni, Mend-A-Wall currently has proven applications within the domestic, industrial, and government sectors. The majority of products are locally manufactured, with special import and distribution right negotiated for specialised and supplementary product used by the brand.

The product and services offered by Mend-A-Wall has a distinct focus on the concrete pre-cast walling industry. The products and services are primarily focused on the installation of Concrete Palisade Fencing, Slab Walling, repair and extensions of existing concrete pre-cast walls, although new plastering and the installation of electric fencing compliment the brand. All products are Mend-A-Wall re-branded, and meet international quality and technical specifications of the highest standards.

PATTERN FINISHES AND DESIGNS

9.1. INSTALLATION OF NEW PRE-CAST WALLING

A concrete pre-cast walling system typically consists of vertical posts and horizontal slabs, varying in a variety of dimensions to suit the requirement of the customer. Although most components are standard in dimensions, a variety of height and finishing specifications can be chosen by the client to customise the installation. The finished product culminates in typical garden fence or security wall. Concrete pre-cast walls are quick and easy to install and require very little maintenance.

Plain There is no pattern on the face of the wall, and has a smooth finish.

Jumbo The pattern on the face of the wall consists of a series of large smooth brick imprints that create an impression of a brick wall.

Louvre The pattern on the face of the wall appears to consist of a set of horizontal parallel slats that slope slightly outwards.

SmallBrick The pattern on the face of the wall consists of a series of small smooth brick imprints that create an impression of a brick wall.

ConcretePalisade This type of pre-cast walling is vastly different to the conventional type of pre cast. It consists of two main posts placed approximately 2 meters apart from each other. Two concrete cross bars, approximately two meters in length are placed horizontally between the two main posts.

9.3. PRE-CAST WALLING EXTENSIONS

A patented and engineer approved system is applied to extend pre-existing concrete pre-cast walls. The conventional method for extending concrete pre- cast walls (the angle iron and concrete method) has proven unsightly and potentially hazardous. The patented design and installation method of Mend-A-Wall utilises a safe and tested extension sleeve that provides for a quick, safe and permanent solution, whilst being aesthetically pleasing.

9.2. REPAIRS TO EXISTING CONCRETE PRE-CAST WALLING SYSTEMS

9.4. PLASTERING AND CLADDING OF CONCRETE PRE-CAST WALLS

Concrete pre-cast walling systems are extremely popular, with applications within the domestic, commercial, industrial and government sectors. There is however a limiting factor in terms of the look and designs available to the consumers of the product.

The patterns and designs that are available, rarely compliment the appearance of a persons’ home. Over time, concrete pre-cast walling systems become dirty and unsightly. Market research indicates that the costs of installing a new concrete pre-cast plastered wall are half of what a brick wall could cost. The inconvenience associated with building a brick wall is virtually eliminated.

9.5. CONCRETE PALISADE FENCING

Concrete Palisade Fencing has become an increasingly popular product for large scale walling or fencing requirements. Government and Industrial sectors particularly favour Concrete Palisade Fencing due to its extreme durability, ease and speed of installation and maintenance free applications. Many government, provincial and municipal departments have been opting for the installation of Concrete Palisade versus Steel Palisade or Fencing due to the theft proof nature of the product.



Today’s concrete pre-cast concrete walling systems offer building designers, home owners and construction managers a solid wall construction system. In addition, pre-cast walling systems have demonstrated high value and versatility in serving the residential, industrial, commercial, government and manufacturing and markets.
