Maui Photo Festival & Workshops 2010 — 3

There’s been a lot of water under the bridge (no pun intended) since we put the finaltouches on our first Maui Photo Festival program and sent it off to the printer. We learneda lot during our first festival. We couldn’t have gotten here without the help of our friends.

Our hosts at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa— General Manager Mike Jokovich andthe entire staff— had our backs in 2009 and made room for us in 2010. Mahalo nui loa.

Rick Sammon and Juan Pons, the one-two punch of the DPE Experience, have been talk-ing us up almost non-stop since they went live in December of 2009. Judy Host and EddieTapp have taken every assignment offered (and there have been many) while spreadingthe word on the show circuit and to potential sponsors. Jack Reznicki makes sure we havelights and printers. Randy Jay Braun brings the mana. Thank you one and all.

The Hawaii Tourism Authority and the County of Maui: You gave us financial help whenno one else would. And to the Maui Economic Development Board, thank you for beingour non-profit partner. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Our presenters: They waived their speaking fees last year, determined to make this eventin Maui a success. And with the economy still in recovery, they’ve waived their fees againin 2010. This is what they do for a living, mind you, so we understand and appreciate theircontributions. Thank you.

And finally, to the 2009 MPF attendees who released their images for us to use to promotethe event. Without those generous acts, no one would have been able to see the magic thathappened here in 2009. Your images were golden. Thank you.
