Description: Design build cost plus contract with a guaranteed maximum price. Con-struction of a shell building and tenant improvement for Premera Blue Cross / Lifewise Insurance. Structural steel and structural brick construc-tion. Project included green building practices including environmental and lighting controls for energy efficiency and recycled construction ma-terials.

for structural reinforcements. Supporting and tying off the existing stacks. Demolition of all existing internal structures. Placing new footings within the building footprint. Setting a new structural steel frame. Tying the two buildings together. Repairing, reinforcing and reusing all existing roof trusses. Building new window and door openings. Placing a new composite metal deck second floor.

Description: Competitive hard bid with a select bidders list. Tenant im-provement within the renovated historic Old Mill Brick Build-ings & addition of a two story 6,000SF structural steel and brick warehouse / office space. This contract included signifi-cant liquidated damages if the store was not turned over two weeks before Thanksgiving. The tenant improvement was started on 8/25/05 and the certificate of occupancy was ob-tained on 10/31/05. In order to make this date I phased the shell completion and overlapped the construction on the TI and warehouse space with the historic shell remodel.

Description: Design build cost plus with a guaranteed maximum price. Existing historic building remodel / renovation plus a tenant improvement in the historic Old Mill Fuel Building. This remodel / renovation included structural reinforcing of the existing brick shell with aluminum heli-coils. Construction of the inte-rior steel skeleton was tied back into the shell to meet the new IBC structural requirements. The tenant improvement consisted of a intricate security sys-tem and unique high end finishes such as flooring out of one of the old Ten-nessee bourbon distilleries.

Construction of the Ward Medical Build-

ing and the associated Tenant Improve-

ment for Advanced Specialty Care. Sur-

gery and recovery portions of the build-

ing were constructed to Medicare guide-

lines and included medical gas piping.

Both contracts were completed on time

and under budget.

Description: Design-build with a cost plus contract. High-end restaurant with many custom finishes. This project was started at the end of October and had to have a final certificate of occupancy by the end of Decem-ber in order to realize substantial tax credits. A good portion of this job was designed on site with the Architect during construction which made get-ting answers to questions easier but constantly added to the complexity of the job.

Description: Design-build with a cost plus guaran-teed max contract. 31,000SF of retail space. Including a new parking lot, 150’ long 17’ tall natural rock retaining wall, extensive water feature and pe-destrian bridges. In order to meet con-struction schedule walls and roof were prefabricated off site and erected after site work, footings and structural steel were set.

Description: Design-build with a cost plus g-max contract. Due to aggres-sive contract buy out and good construction practices this project was able to absorb $41,000.00 of additional upgrades within the original budget. High-end restaurant with many custom finishes. This project was started at the end of March and was turned over for oc-cupancy by the beginning of June.

Description: Competitive design build structural steel and concrete panel structure with a multiple bidders for construction of a facility to house governmental services. This facility included state of the art data / communications, security, and en-vironmental controls. “Green” construction practices were used such as: Using low or no VOC materials. Maximizing the number and locations of windows and skylight for ambi-

ent lighting while using glazing that provided a high amount of energy efficiency.

Providing an HVAC system that are highly efficient and provided the ca-pacity for a high level of air purity.

Using recycled products wherever financially practical. Running as much fly ash as possible in the concrete mixes. Crushing and recycling existing site structures for use as foundation and

grading materials.

Description: Design build cost plus contract with a guaranteed maximum price and a savings split. Structural steel and concrete panel construction was used in the expansion. Modifications to their existing facility consisted of updat-ing the electrical / mechanical systems and the construction of climate controlled rooms for new manufacturing equipment. Installation of tools in the new building and existing production area was included in the scopeof this contract.

Description: Design-build with a Cost Plus G-max contract. High-end equestrian facility built to meet professional bull / bronco riding specifications. Construction includes custom design dust evacuation system, eight sets of quad barns for stabling competitors horses for extended stays, and two large out-buildings for animals.
