Matthew 6.25-2825 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat

or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more

important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away

in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not

much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a

single hour to his life?  28 "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field

grow. They do not labor or spin.

Matthew 7.1-51 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you

judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it

will be measured to you.  3 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and

pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to

your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the

time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the

plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove

the speck from your brother's eye.

Matthew 7, mc 7.1-12, vv 7.1-5

Page 9: Matthew 6.25-28

Matthew 8.23-2723 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24Without

warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves

swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25The disciples went

and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!"  26He

replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up

and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. 27 The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even

the winds and the waves obey him!"

Matthew 8, mc 8.14-34, vv 8.23-27

Page 10: Matthew 6.25-28

Matthew 15.1-31 Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from

Jerusalem and asked, 2"Why do your disciples break the tradition of

the elders? They don't wash their hands before they eat!"  3 Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the

sake of your tradition?

Matthew 15, mc 15.1-20, vv 15.1-3

Page 11: Matthew 6.25-28

Matthew 16.5-85 When they went across the lake, the disciples forgot to take bread.

6"Be careful," Jesus said to them. "Be on your guard against the

yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."  7They discussed this

among themselves and said, "It is because we didn't bring any

bread." 8 Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, "You of little faith, why are

you talking among yourselves about having no bread?

Matthew 16, mc 16.1-12, vv 16.5-8

Page 12: Matthew 6.25-28

Matthew 19.16-1716 Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing

must I do to get eternal life?"  17 "Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is

only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the

commandments."

KJV – “Why callest thou me good?”

Matthew 19, mc 19.13-20.16, vv 19.16-17

Matthew 20.3-63 "About the third hour he went out and saw others standing in the

marketplace doing nothing. 4He told them, 'You also go and work in

my vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right.' 5So they went.

"He went out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour and did

the same thing.

6 About the eleventh hour he went out and found still others standing

around. He asked them, 'Why have you been standing here all day

long doing nothing?'

Matthew 20.1-16 Is a Parable

Matthew 19, mc 19.13-20.16, vv 20.3-6

Matthew 22.15-1815 Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. 16 They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians. "Teacher,"

they said, "we know you are a man of integrity and that you teach

the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren't swayed by

men, because you pay no attention to who they are. 17Tell us then,

what is your opinion? Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?"

18 But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, "You hypocrites, why are

you trying to trap me?

Matthew 22, mc 22.15-24.1, vv 22.15-18

Matthew 26.6-106 While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of a man known as Simon

the Leper, 7a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very

expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was

reclining at the table.  8 When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. "Why this waste?"

they asked. 9"This perfume could have been sold at a high price and

the money given to the poor." 10 Aware of this, Jesus said to them, "Why are you bothering this

woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me.

Matthew 26, mc 26.1-46, vv 26.6-10

Matthew 27.45-4645 From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the

land.

46 About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama

sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you

forsaken me?"

Consider Hebrews 13.5

“I will never leave you nor forsake you”
