INTRODUCTION

Although Matrix is only three years old, the reputation and credibility of the brand is now well established amongst Match and Pleasure anglers alike. This has been partly achieved through our innovative ‘Fresh Thinking’ design ethos, which looks at a specific fishing requirement and designs a solution with the angler and the product use in mind.

This can be clearly seen on the Carpmaster rod range. Whilst most manufacturers are designing rods based on two equal length sections for easy transport, the popular Carpmaster range works on a completely different principle that puts the fish-playing action first. However, because we understand the needs of the modern angler, who wants easy transport of made-up rods, the Carpmaster rods are designed in a way that still makes made-up transport easy.

WELCOME 2014WELCOME TO THE MATRIX 2014 PRODUCT CATALOGUE. AS WE ENTER OUR THIRD YEAR THE MATRIX RANGE CONTINUES TO GROW AND MATURE, WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF MANY NEW PRODUCTS DESIGNED TO HELP YOU CATCH MORE FISH.

In fact the same principles can be seen in our other two premium feeder ranges. The Horizon feeder is designed for maximum casting performance, with an ultra long spigot joint on the short butt section which produces awesome casting power. The new Horizon S Class, which is a more traditional feeder rod, is designed with two equal length sections and a separate quivertip. This design improves fish-playing and casting control compared to a traditional three sectioned rod and transports much more easily.

It is not only the larger items that get the Matrix Fresh Thinking treatment. Our new Quick Change Lead Clip overcomes the problem of changing from an In-Line Method feeder or Pellet feeder, to a bomb without breaking down the rig. It is a simple solution that is not only quick it is completely fish safe and complies with all fishery rules.

Another area that has seen a lot of input is the Matrix Seatbox range. The new Match Master seatboxes offer outstanding value for money, with the full flexibility of using the highly regarded Matrix Seatbox units and drawer system to create a modular solution that can be customised to suit your personal preference.

MEGA FEEDER ARMWith two support brackets and an additional support bar the Mega Feeder Arm provides a rock solid support for feeder fishing. The secret behind the stability is also the adjustment configuration. Instead of using a toothed adjustment with only one touching face, the Mega Feeder Arm has an infinite adjustment with four touching surfaces that prevent any lateral movement. Fully adjustable from 116cm to 200cm the Mega Feeder Arm can be positioned low down for stillwater fishing or up high for river fishing. DOBBERThe Dobber has a short tip and a carbon stem making it perfect for fishing up in the water, or in the margins for carp on commercials. To reduce body damage when catching big weights it has an eye and also a line-through body.

BIGThe Big has a thick hollow plastic tip and a fibre stem for strength. Designed for fishing on the bottom with bigger baits, it is very stable making it perfect for deeper water and rough windy conditions. The Big has a line-through body without an eye to prevent body damage.

EURO CANALDesigned for Europe, the Euro Canal also makes a great match float for larger waters and rivers in the UK. There are currently five ranges in the Matrix rod range, each designed for specific uses.

Carpmaster has been designed for the latest match carp fishing methods and covers everything from short range feeder work to long range Method feeder fishing. Two float rods are also available, designed for modern match style carping.

Horizon S Class offers outstanding quality and refinement. Designed for bream and skimmer feeder fishing up to 50 metres, there are two rods in the range that will suit anglers who prefer a more traditional feeder rod action.

Horizon is a dedicated long distance feeder range, primarily for large European waters where distance casting is essential. This established range is now regarded as one of the best available for extreme distance performance.

HORIZON FEEDERThe Horizon Feeder rods are designed for ultra long range casting and have the required power in the lower section to cast feeder huge distances. This has been achieved by using a separate butt section with an extra long spigot joint. This joint greatly

increases the stiffness of the lower part of the rod increasing the power. The middle and tip sections of Horizon rods are much longer (and slimmer) than conventional 3-piece rods which produces a better playing action and a smoother transfer of casting power.

HORIZON S CLASS FEEDERThe Horizon S Class rods are for medium range bream and skimmer fishing with medium feeders. To get the correct action for casting and playing an equal length two section design (plus quivertip) is used. Because the rods are 11’ (3.3m) and 12’ (3.6m)

the two section design allows for a more power in the butt with a softer second playing section which takes the quivertip. This combination means that unlike 3-piece rods the playing area of the rod is free from joints.

The new Horizon S Class rods offer outstanding quality for anglers wanting a more traditional type of feeder rod suitable for bream and skimmer fishing.The high gloss black blank oozes quality and the refined actions of both models cast and play fish to perfection thanks to the two section (plus quivertip) design. This enables the lower butt section to provide the casting power and the long top section with quivertip fitted to provide the smooth fish-playing action. Fitted with a high quality cork/EVA handle, and a custom designed screw hood reel seat, the guides on the Horizon S Class are strong but lightweight and have large diameter centres to enable free flow of line when casting. Three different strength carbon quivertips are provided - the fibreglass tips from the Carpmaster range also fit the ‘S’ Class.


Available in 3.3m (11’) and 3.6m (12’), both models have a reasonable amount of power in the lower third of the blank which enables accurate casting of 50g feeders up to 60 metres. The 3.6m (12’) model has slightly more power than the 3.3m (11’), which combined with the additional length offers increased casting performance. This makes it a good large water bream rod that is also suitable for method feeder carp fishing at 40 to 60 metres.

The two section design makes for easy made-up transportation. One point to note is that because the quivertip is removed for made-up transport it isn’t under tension and does not set in a slight curve.

The Evolution Feeder System gives total flexibility and is one of the most comprehensive ranges available. Method Feeders, Pellet Feeders, and smaller accessory items all combine perfectly.The In-line Method Feeder and the Pellet Feeder both have a special base and stem that works with the Rubber Quick Bead and Tail Rubber to make changing feeder type or size simple and quick, without having to break down the rig. The Rubber Quick Bead and Tail Rubber are also designed to work with the brilliant Quick Change Lead Clip. This enable you to take off an Evolution Method or Pellet feeder and clip on a bomb or other type of traditional feeder in seconds.

RUBBER QUICK BEADThe Rubber Quick Bead is used to connect your hooklength to the main line. The two part design has a simple quick change facility enabling hooklengths to be changed in seconds.

TAIL RUBBERSThe Tail Rubbers are used with the Evolution Method Feeders and also the lead clip. These tail rubbers push onto the stem of the Method feeders and also the Lead Clips to make a secure and neat finish.

QUICK CHANGE LEAD CLIPThe Quick Change Lead Clip has a special groove in the stem for accepting your main line. Once in position the stem is covered by a Tail Rubber which secures the clip and makes a neat finish.


1. Remove your In-Line Method Feeder by pulling off the tail rubber and threading the bead and your hook through the hole in the base.

2. Place your main line into the groove of the Quick Change Lead Clip.

3. Place your bomb onto the clip by slipping it onto the small arm.

4. Push the Tail Rubber over the arm and onto the body of the Quick Change Lead Clip.

IN-LINE PELLET FEEDERThe In-Line Pellet Feeder is totally fish friendly and works in conjunction with the Rubber Quick Bead and the Tail Rubber. This produces an interchangeable system enabling you to change from an Evolution In-Line Method Feeder to an In-line Pellet Feeder in seconds without breaking down your rig. The open scoop at the back of the feeder enables the hookbait to be positioned perfectly in the pellets as they exit the feeder. Available in Small and Medium sizes in a selection of different weights.

The In-Line Pellet Feeder works with the Rubber Quick Change Bead and the Tail Rubber.

The scoop shape not only presents your hookbait perfectly in the pellets it is quick to fill.

EVOLUTION FEEDERS

The Evolution Method feeders come in two styles - Elasticated and In-line and both are designed to work with the brilliant Squeeze and Feed Method Mould. Both the Elasticated and In-line versions come in Hooped and Open models.The Hooped version provides better grip for groundbait or pellets and can be used for medium and long range fishing. The Open version is designed for close and shallow water work and releases bait quickly. Because there are no cross bars on either style of feeder they can be successfully used with large baits.

SQUEEZE AND FEED METHOD MOULDThe Matrix Method Mould works with the Evolution Method Feeders (In-Line and Elasticated) and is simple to use with both groundbait and softened pellets. Simply place your hookbait into the mould, fill with bait, push in the feeder, turn over and squeeze the sides and the loaded Method pops out. There’s no pulling, wiggling or buttons to push, just squeeze and feed for the perfect Method.The Squeeze and Feed Method Feeder Mould is deeper than other moulds available and loads a larger amount of bait onto the feeder. This increased dome shape keeps fish concentrated on the feeder longer increasing the chances of a bite before the feed bait has been eaten.

EVOLUTION FEEDER SYSTEM


1. Fill the mould with groundbait orsoftened small pellets.

2. Push the feeder into the mould tocompact the mix.

3. Turn over and squeeze the sidestogether and the feeder drops out!

The deep moulded ends accommodate most Method feeders and provide more movement for compression.

The unique design of the base, with central slots and compression sides, enables the feeder to be ‘squeezed’ out.

The small holes in the base of the mould prevent a vacuum forming during compression producing a better loading.

ELASTICATED METHOD FEEDERThe Elasticated Method Feeder comes in both Hooped and Open versions. Each version comes with a light and heavy elastic stem which simply clips into place enabling you to choose your preference.

IN-LINE METHOD FEEDERThe In-Line Method Feeder comes in both Hooped and Open versions and is safe to use on fisheries that don’t allow elasticated models. The In-Line version is used with the Rubber Quick Bead and a Tail Rubber to create a set-up that can be quickly changed without having to break down the rig.
