MATIAS MISCHUNG Sculptor Matias Mischung was born in Barracas (Buenos Aires, Argentina) in 1973. He left the capital at 17 years old, when his family decided to close his grandfather's metal's manufacture, where they used to build boat hatch covers. As a result of such closing and to improve his quality of life, he chose to move to the small village of La Cumbre, in the province of Cordoba (Argentina) where he still lives today. He first started to work in the field of tourism, and during his many hours of boredom, he amused himself by saving wood pieces of the fire, found here and there, and transforming them with chisels and other tools he kept since his childhood. This is how was born Matias's first work of art. He got excited about this new "job", which brought him, little by little, to work with the tools of the old family business. He discovered that the best way of expressing his feelings was handling forms into other forms, giving them a new story, a new life. Everything else is in the hands of the one who observes...

MATIAS MISCHUNG Sculptor  

 Matias Mischung was born in Barracas (Buenos Aires, Argentina) in 1973. He left the capital at 17 years old, when his

family decided to close his grandfather's metal's manufacture, where they used to build boat hatch covers. As a result of
