CBBC are also doing a daily, three hour block
of primary school programmes from 9am.
Challenge: Today we will think about how we use numbers in a numeral or
wri(en form to communicate an understanding of an amount. Write a series of
words and numerals on flash cards or a piece of paper and ask your child to
match them. Talk about how a numeral and word s�ll represents the same
amount.
Tricky task: using the work uploaded to the website ask your child to colour a
bu(erfly (from the very hungry caterpillar) and colour the different parts of its
body by number).
If you’re unable to print of wish for a trickier task: show your child the exam-
ple of the colour by number work on the website and ask them to create their
own drawing of a bu(erfly which must be coloured by the numbers which they
write.
Show me: put your child’s completed work in their maths book, send an image
