RE
Why does it mrean to fast?
In the religion of Islam, Ramadan is a very important month
for Muslims. Muslims fast for 30 days and do not eat or drink
during the day time. Muslims give more money to charity dur-
ing this month. People do extra prayers, getting closer to God
and trying to become the best they can be (RRSA: Article 29).

The link above explains what Ramadan is and why it is im-
portant in Islam. If you belong to the religion of Islam, talk to
your parents or grown ups about Ramadan. What do your
family do? Why?
Many other religions also fast at different times in the year;
what information can you gather about this. Compare and
contrast Ramadan with another religions belief.
