Spelling Well done to those children who have enjoyed practising your weekly spellings. It’s good to hear that

many of you are doing so well. Keep up the hard work. Click on Spelling Frame (Year 3/4 ) to go straight to this week’s spellings.

This week we would like you to look at:

Spelling Rule 5 - Prefixes: ir, in, anti, auto irresponsible, irrelevant, intercity, interact, international, interrelated, anticlockwise,

antiseptic, antisocial, autobiography, autograph

If you have access to the internet, please continue to use your password to play on all the games to help you learn your weekly spellings and spelling rules.

Monday/Tuesday - Spelling Tiles: Choose from these activities to help you to learn the spellings for this week. Wednesday - Games: Have a go at playing some of the games e.g. Spelling Maze Monsters. Thursday - Practice: have a go at the ‘practice’ section - click on ‘practice/test’ and then ‘begin practice’. Friday - Test: have a go at the test - click on ‘practice/test’ and then ‘begin test’. If you don’t get them all right, perhaps have another go and see if you can beat your previous score.

To help your spelling without using the internet, you could also: • write a story using each spelling word. • use your spelling words to have a go at playing hangman with somebody at home. • write each spelling word out and trace over and over it in rainbow colours.

RMJS Virtual Sports Day

Wednesday 20th May 2020

We are so excited to be holding our first ever Virtual Sports Day on Wednesday 20th May 2020.

We are hoping it will be an exciting morning filled with fun activities for you to enjoy in your own

home or garden. The format will be simple. Put on a t-shirt to represent your house (red, yellow,

green or blue) and grab a bottle of water. There will be 20 exercises to complete. Each exercise

will take no more than one minute. You will gain either 5, 10 or 15 points depending on the num-

ber of repetitions or time taken. Work your way through the exercises and record your scores. An

exercise and score sheet can be found here. Don’t worry if you can’t print it; just record your scores

on a piece of paper. Maybe you could compete against another family member if you are feeling

extra competitive! When you have completed all the activities, total your scores and send them to

Mr Gilbey. He will be sending a text and an email with the link on Tuesday after school. We would

love to see any photos of you taking part - please send them to Mrs Mosley, Mr Gilbey or your class

teacher.

Finally, a huge well done to Jasmine, Ava, Harriet, Rory, James and Adam whose ideas helped

shape our sports day. They all receive a gold star worth 10 house points - well done!
