Why I chose to present my data using a frequency table?
I chose to present my data using a frequency table because the datas in the data set has many digits therefore it will
be hard to do a stem and leaf plot. Therefore I chose to use a frequency
table because I don’t need to write lots of numbers but instead I can show a simple and clear table that shows the ranges of
the data set
FINDING THE RANGE272,690,813 - 76,094,000
RANGE = 195,596,813
FINDING THE MEDIAN
BUT USING THE DATA SET TO FIND THE MEDIAN CAN GIVE US A MORE ACCURATE
ANSWER
FINDING QUARTILE
FINDING OUTLIERS
CONCLUSIONFrom the five different analysis of the data, we can conclude that from the year 1900 to 1999, there is an increase of 195,596,813 people in the population of the USA. And the average
population over this years is 155,300,000. It is also shown the median of the data collected is
150,000,000 this is found by using the frequency table, but if we use the data itself we can get a median of 150,729,773 which is far
more accurate. I also found out that the population is growing consistently, therefore it
is shown to not have any outliers. The last thing we can conclude is that, if the population
keeps on following the pattern, then it population of the USA will soon exceed
300,000,000 after 20 years unless unexpected disasters like tornadoes, storms, earthquake
and others happens therefore it might bring a significant change in the population.
