An alumina disk is coated with a liquid Gallium Indium alloy.
The coated disk is taped on a copper plate.
The disk and copper are submerged in a nickel plating solution.
Making nano-sized stuff:
NanowiresAn AA-battery provides a current and allows the nickel to emerge from solution and pass towards the copper through the disk.
The disk is then dissolved away, revealing…
