Buy AmericaAll steel and iron materials permanently incorporated in

this project shall be domestic products and all manufacturing and coating processes for these materials must have occurred within the United States. Coating includes epoxy coating, galvanizing, painting and any other coating that protects or enhances the value of a material subject to the requirements of Buy America. The exemption of this requirement is the minimal use of foreign materials if the total cost of such material permanently incorporated in the product does not exceed one-tenth of one percent (1/10 of 1%) of the total contract cost or $2,500.00, whichever is greater. For purposes of this paragraph, the cost is that shown to be the value of the subject products as they are delivered to the project.

Upon completion of the project certify to the engineer, in writing using department form WS4567, that all steel, iron, and coating processes for steel or iron incorporated into the contract work conform to these Buy America provisions. Attach a list of exemptions and their associated costs to the certification form. Department form WS4567 is available at:

General Information

Fill out all sample cards completely and accurately.

Region labs will process all samples (ship to Madison or test and report) for all projects if samples are delivered to lab.

Miscellaneous sampling supplies located in drop-off room (i.e. sample tags, sample bags, AC cans, tack jugs, cylinder molds etc…).

Wis. Rapids drop-off room located next to Region Lab. Drop-off room combination for Wis. Rapids lab provided through CEA’s.

Rhinelander sample drop-off located in lab entry.

Call the North Central Region Lab prior to HMA

paving.

Region Lab will do all HMA QV sampling, testing & reporting.

AC Samples – coordinate with Pat Shuda in Wis. Rapids and Dean Gritzmacher in Rhinelander to determine who will obtain samples.

All Nuclear Gauges must be run across

Madison’s reference blocks prior to use.

Region reference blocks to be used as reference or dispute resolution tool.
