Introduction

Necktie is one of the items that almost every man should have, especially if he is a working man

or a student. Hence, a man can have more than one piece of necktie in his collections, however,

not all are suitable to wear as some may get too old and worn out, or some may just be out of

fashion, especially for those broad and bulky neckties. Unfortunately, throwing old neckties away

are such a waste, but keeping them is just like keeping junks in the closet. Seeing this problem

and potential of neckties, we come up with a solution to reuse neckties and turn them into a

phone case which is something that everybody can benefit, especially those who always forgot

where they put their phones.

Methodology

1-  Removing centre seam/stitches

This process requires careful cuttings to

ensure only the stitches are removed, this

is done to ‘open up’ the necktie for

measurement process later. The inner

fabric in the necktie is optional, but it is

better not to remove it so that the necktie

will have a better shape.

2-  Taking dimensions

All dimensions depends on the size of the phone, it is encourage to include a few

centimeters extra so that the sewing process will not decrease the actual dimension needed

to fit the phone.

3-  Sewing process + Decoration

Sewing can be done with a sewing machine or manually, some features can be added to

this product such as card holder or cash pockets. For our product, we added a pocket to

store cards.
