JOINING SYSTEMS

Bell and Spigot Joint: The adhesive bonded, tapered belland spigot joint is a primary joining method for the followingproducts: 1"-24"GREENTHREADpipingandpipetofittings 2"-24"REDTHREADIIpipingandpipetofittings 2”-24”SILVERSTREAKpipetofittings 4”-72”F-CHEMpiping* *Pipetopipejointsalsoavailableinbutt&wrap.Pipe is suppliedwith one endtapered(thespigot)and the other endbelled (integral bellor factory bondedcoupling) to accept a tapered spigot. The joint is made byapplyingadhesivewhich, whencured, iscompatiblewiththepipingsystemsforjointstrengthandcorrosionresistance.

T.A.B. (Threaded and Bonded) Joint:TheT.A.B.jointistheprimaryjoiningmethodforthefollowingproduct:

The joining sys-tem combinesboth threads andadhesives on thebonding surfaces. The mechanical locking action of these promotes positivemakeup which prevents backout during adhesive curing.Standardtaperedbellfittingsareusedwiththissystem.
