PUBLIC NOTICE The Matanuska-Susitna Borough has received an application for a Determination of Legal Nonconforming Status (MSB 17.80) for a house located on Lot 14A, Knik Lake Estates, Addition No. 1; 10984 W. Northshore Drive; within Township 16 North, Range 3 West, Section 24, Seward Meridian. At its closest point the structure is setback 7.6 feet from the Northshore Drive right-of-way and 5.7 feet from the east side yard lot line. MSB 17.55.010(A) requires structures to be setback a minimum of 25 feet from public rights-of-way and MSB 17.55.010(B) requires structures to be setback a minimum of 10 feet from side yard lot lines. Granting the Determination of Legal Nonconforming Status will permit the structure to remain in its current location. Planning Team Members NeededFishhook Community Comprehensive Plan

The MSB Planning Department is seeking applications for the Fishhook Community Comprehensive Planning Team. Applicants will work to help create the comprehensive plan which helps guide the community’s future. Team meetings are usually once or twice a month and held in the community. Applications are available online, at the DSJ Borough building Permit Center on the 2nd Floor, by email, or on the Borough website.
