Panelist: Paul Galant Title: Chief Executive Officer Company: Citi Enterprise Payments

Paul Galant is CEO of Citi’s Enterprise Payments business unit which leverages the bank's industry-leading wholesale and retail payment capabilities across regions and organizations globally. In this role, Galant oversees the design, marketing and implementation of comprehensive business-to-consumer and consumer-to-business payments solutions for the world's largest global corporations and financial institutions, as well as governments. Prior to this, he served as the CEO of Citi Cards, heading Citi’s North American and International Cards business, leading the business through a time of dramatic change in the industry. Citi’s global credit card business provides credit for people and businesses the world over. The franchise is a market leader and encompasses card activities in 50 countries across six continents. Earlier, Galant served as CEO of Citi Transaction Services (CTS) a division of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group. Citi Transaction Services is one of Citi’s publicly reported product lines, offering award winning and industry leading Treasury and Trade Solutions, and Securities and Fund Services capabilities to corporations, governments, financial institutions and investment advisors worldwide. Panelist: Ryan Hughes Title: Chief Marketing Officer Company: Isis

As Chief Marketing Officer, Ryan Hughes is responsible for establishing and building the Isis brand, as well as business development and product strategy – encompassing payments, loyalty, rewards and offers. Hughes most recently spent five years with Verizon Wireless, where he played a key role in the development of the joint venture that became Isis. As Vice President of Business Development and Partner Management, he managed strategic partnerships and oversaw business development in emerging platforms including mobile commerce, application ecosystems, network APIs and other critical growth initiatives. Hughes also served as Verizon Wireless' vice president of digital media programming, in which he oversaw multimedia platform content. In addition to being a former professional hockey player, Hughes led new media business development at the National Hockey League (NHL). He oversaw the integration of NHL content across all new media platforms, including mobile and online. Hughes is a graduate of Cornell University, where he studied business management. Back to top

Panelist: Jeppe Dorff Title: Vice President of Transaction Services Company: Rogers Communications

Jeppe Dorff, a native of Denmark, returned in 2011 to Canada to join Rogers Communications and brings with him a wealth of global perspective with a career spanning most continents and more than a handful of individual mobile payments and mobile banking deployments. Dorff joined Rogers Communications where in his role as Vice President of Transaction Services he is responsible for development and execution on the transactional technology, product and business strategy. Most recently, he was responsible for negotiations which led to the first commercial agreement between an MNO and a bank in Canada. Dorff is newly appointed board member of the standards organization GlobalPlatform where he will help drive the further standardization and adoption of secure chip technologies spanning mobile, government and internet-of-things. Prior to joining Rogers Communications, Dorff has served in multiple executive roles including Vice President, Product, Strategy & Innovation with Mobile Money Ventures (A CitiGroup & SK Telecom Joint Venture), Sr. Vice President, Mobile Transaction Services - Clickatell, where he was responsible for the company's mobile payments division, Director of Product Development EnStream (a Rogers, Bell and TELUS Joint Venture), he was also the Founder & CTO of Secure Wireless Transfers where he developed the award winning KushCash platform, one of the first mobile payment deployments in North America. He is very active in mobile payments and financial inclusion initiatives globally and advises several companies in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Back to top

Panelist: Srinivas Nidugondi Title: Head, Mobile Financial Solutions Company: Mahindra Comviva

Srinivas has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry in a variety of product related roles and most recently with a specific focus on enabling digital financial services. At Mahindra Comviva he heads the mobile financial services business unit, which currently has over 110 deployments globally, providing services for more than 700 million mobile users. Prior to joining Mahindra Comviva, he established and led the business for online banking and mobile payments at ICICI Bank and also headed product management and business development functions in start-ups and IT product companies. Panelist: Tan Eng Pheng Title: Senior Director, Cluster Development Group Company: Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA)

Eng Pheng is currently a member of the Senior Leadership Team at the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, responsible for driving infocomm technology-enabled business transformation in various economic and social clusters. His current portfolio includes leadership of a number of iN2015 initiatives in sectors spanning trade and logistics, finance, transport, tourism, education etc. Eng Pheng works closely with enterprises and trade associations in the private sector, as well as government agencies championing development in various industries. As part of a national effort to strengthen Singapore's reputation as a trusted gateway and to create an environment for financial services to test and deploy innovative technologies, Eng Pheng is spearheading efforts to develop and implement a nation-wide, interoperable near field communication (NFC) eco-system to realise the full synergy of mobile Internet and proximity-based transactions. His other initiatives include promoting greater adoption of Business Analytics in both government and private sectors. Eng Pheng has more than 25 years of infocomm industry experience, and has held various roles such as the Chief Information Officer in a Ministry, Director for eGovernment Planning for the whole Singapore public sector, international eGovernment consultancy etc. Back to top

Panelist: Takashi Komoro Title: Director, Credit Card Business Division Company: NTT DOCOMO, INC

Takashi Komoro is Director of “iD”, Credit Card Business Division, NTT DOCOMO. NTT DOCOMO is Japan’s premier provider of leading-edge mobile voice, data and multimedia services, with more than 60 million customers. The role of mobile phones as "lifestyle tools" was cemented when DOCOMO launched Osaifu-Keitai™, a mobile wallet platform enabling quick, contactless transactions for cash, credit, ID, and more. More than 37 million phones equipped for Osaifu-Keitai services are now in use. Mr. Komoro is currently managing iD business unit, and his responsibility covers the whole operation of iD service including strategic planning, sales & marketing, service operation, and R&D. “iD” is the premier mobile payment service in Japan with 17 million customers, 70 member companies, and one of the best and largest merchant networks. It is the most popular post-paid e-Money service in Japan and has the largest customer base using Osaifu-Keitai. Before joining the Credit Card Business Division, Komoro worked as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Telargo Inc., which was then a newly established joint venture company of DOCOMO, providing mobile asset management services in the USA and Europe. Panelist: Edward Hyde Title: General Manager of Mobile Company: Telecom NZ Ltd

Edward Hyde has been with Telecom NZ Ltd for just over 6 years and is currently General Manager of Mobile having previously lead the growth portfolio in his capacity of Head of Group Corporate Development. Prior to this, Hyde was Commercial Director of the MVNO Yes Telecom in the UK. Yes Telecom was acquired by Vodafone in 2006 and Hyde took the opportunity to move to New Zealand shortly afterwards. Having read Material Science and Engineering at the University of Manchester, Hyde moved into the Telecommunications industry and has developed a wealth of strategic and transformational expertise over the last 10+ years. He is a keen runner and cyclist with his most notable sporting achievement being 10th place in the 2010 Xterra World Trail running championships in Hawaii. Back to top

Panelist: Nigel Shortt Title: Senior Manager IT – Retail Delivery Company: Boots UK and Ireland

Nigel Shortt was appointed Senior Manager IT – Retail Delivery, Boots UK and Ireland in November 2010. His role includes responsibility for the delivery of IT for retail in the UK and Ireland and he represents Boots UK on a number of card payment forums, including the UK Merchants' PCI Working Group and the Streamline Customer Advisory Council. Prior to joining Boots UK, Nigel managed the Retail Applications team at Morrisons supermarkets and he also worked in Hospitality EPOS for a number of UK and International EPOS vendors. Shortt is married with two daughters and enjoys cycling, cooking and spending time with his family.

Panelist: Peter Vesco Title: Senior Vice President, Business Unit Payment Company: Deutsche Telekom AG

Peter Vesco is Senior Vice President, Business Unit Payment, Deutsche Telekom AG. He is responsible for developing all payment strategies and products. This includes initiatives both in Germany and at European level. In addition, Vesco is also the CEO of ClickandBuy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG. Vesco worked for Hypercom Corp as the President and Managing Director of Northern Europe. Previously, he held various management positions including CEO of the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and Italy at FirstData and COO of the DACH region and Italy at Atos Worldine.

Panelist: Eric Tak Title: Global Head of Cards, Cash & News Business Company: ING

Eric Tak is currently Global Head of Cards, Cash & New Business for ING. He took up his role in March 2011, following his experience as Director of Cards Products and iDEAL with Dutch Payments Scheme Management Company Currence from 2005 onwards. Prior to his time at ING, he worked at PricewaterhoouseCoopers/PwC Consulting for ten years, first as Director, Financial Services Sector and after the acquisition by IBM as Associate Partner and practice leader for Banking Operations & Payments. He started his career from 1991-1996 with ABN AMRO as Relationship Banker Corporate & Global Clients and Cash Management Consultant. Eric studied Business Economics (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) and Business Administration (Nyenrode University). He is married and lives in Leiderdorp with his wife and three children. Back to top

Panelist: Ali Salci Title: Group Head of Payment Systems Company: Turkcell

Ali Salci joined Turkcell in December 2009. Prior to joining Turkcell, he held various positions at BKM (Interbank Card Center), Yapi Kredi and Visa Europe. Salci is now heading Mobile Financial Services Payment Systems at Turkcell, focusing on Mobile Financial Services, Mobile Wallet and NFC Projects. Session 4: Latin America and the Caribbean

Panelist: Marcello Ribeiro Trovão Fraiz Title: Executive Manager, Digital Channels Innovation Company: Caixa Economica Federal

With vast experience in digital channels strategy, Marcello Ribeiro Trovão Fraiz is currently the head of Electronic Media Innovation for CAIXA Econômica Federal, a Brazilian government owned financial institution, where he is responsible for the development of Mobile Banking and Mobile Payments projects. Marcello has spent the last 24 years at CAIXA Econômica Federal leading different roles in the areas of IT and Distribution Channels. Over the last 15 years he has coordinated Internet related projects, particularly in the Online Banking space, for CAIXA Econômica Federal. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the Regional Blumenau University (Universidade Regional de Blumenau) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Marketing from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (Fundação Getúlio Vargas).

Panelist: Roger Solé Title: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Company: TIM Brazil

Roger Solé has been Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of TIM Brazil since August 2011. He joined the company generated 2009 to manage the Consumer Marketing area of TIM Brazil. Solé has significant experience with a 15 year career in the mobile telephony industry, working at Vivo, where he was Director of VAS and Innovation and Director of Marketing in the High Value segment, focusing on client acquisition and loyalty and driving revenues from the carrier's customer base. Prior to that, he spent six months at the DiamondCluster consultancy (currently OliverWyman), specializing in telecommunications as well as strategy and marketing projects for mobile carriers. These projects were implemented in Europe and Latin America for both incumbents and startups. Solé was born in Barcelona, Spain. He holds a degree in business management from ESADE (Barcelona, Spain) and an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management, UCLA (Los Angeles, USA).

Panelist: Greg Keough Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Company: Wanda

Gregory “Greg” Keough is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Mobile Financial Services (MFS). He is responsible for Wanda Movil in Latin America, which operates in Argentina, Mexico, Peru and Colombia with plans to expand to other markets. He took on this role in November 2012. Prior to joining MFS, Keough was a successful entrepreneur, creating and leading various companies across different industries including Financial Services (Virtual Loan Corp.& Zona Financiera) and Telecom (AperServe & DigiLinea) some of which were backed by well know venture capital funds such as Citi Ventures and Walker Ventures. Keough started his career in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and was part of the Field Operations team that was later sent to a war zone as a covert employee living in El Salvador. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1988 with a major in Broadcast Journalism and Minor in Economics. Back to top

Session 5: Middle East and Africa

Panelist: George Held Title: Vice President/Commerce Company: Etisalat Group

George Held, currently Vice President/Commerce at the Etisalat Group, is regarded as one of the leading global innovators in the telecommunications sector. He has spearheaded development and rollout of Mobile Commerce services and launched the internationally acclaimed One Network service across Africa and the Middle East. Held has previously held senior product innovation roles with Bharti Airtel, Zain, Celtel and Millicom after starting his career with MIT Labs Electronic Systems Center. Held excels at conceptualizing innovative and relevant mobile services, especially for emerging markets, and directing development through commercialization, roll-out and on-going product performance enhancement. Recent innovations include commercial introduction of fully interoperable Mobile Commerce offering “Flous” and rollout of Mobile Health program Etisalat Mobile Baby across African and Middle East Operations of Etisalat Group. Held is a highly valued public speaker and has delivered presentations at globally recognized events such as Mobile World Congress (Barcelona, 2010, 2011, 2012) and the GSMA Mobile Money Conference (Rio de Janeiro, 2010 and Milano, 2012). His many innovations have received international recognition and have been awarded several times most notably by the GSMA. Held holds an MBA from Northeastern University, Boston, USA and he has completed Postgraduate programs at Harvard and MIT. He is fluent in English, French and Russian. Back to top

Panelist: Nick Dent Title: Group Chief Officer, New Businesses Company: Qtel

Nick Dent is the Group Chief Officeer, New Businesses for Qtel. Other roles he has served in at Qtel include COO, Executive Director of Group Strategy as well as advisor to the CEO. He has been at Qtel for ten years. Additionally, Dent managed the acquisition and subsequent integration of Wataniya and the investment in the Asia Pacific. He played a major role in the development of Qtel’s ’20:20 strategy.’ Prior to joining Qtel, Dent worked at McKinsey where he established the company’s telecom practice in the Middle East. Back to top
