This agreement is based on the Fact Sheet for Master’s thesis dated 27 May 2009 with amendments dated 4 November 2013. The instructor shall determine the conditions that the author must adhere to when writing the Master’s thesis. The author must retain a copy of this agreement and submit it to-gether with the completed Master’s thesis.

Allocation to subject areas of study: As a general rule, a Master’s thesis is allocated to one separate subject area; accordingly, only one Master’s thesis per subject area is disclosed in the track record of the students. When allocating ECTS Credits to separate subject areas, the ECTS credits allocated must be specified for each subject area.

Submission deadline for Master’s thesis / Seminar thesisOnce this agreement has been signed, the submission deadline shall be binding. It may only be de-ferred or annulled if evidence can be provided that there are compelling, unforeseeable and unavoi-dable reasons for doing so, in particular illness. If the student submits the Master’s thesis late or fails to do so, a failing grade will be awarded.

The evaluation must be completed by the instructor. We kindly ask the instructor to forward the Master’s agreement for the spring semester by the 10th of July at the latest and for the fall semester by the 10th of January at the latest to the Service Desk of the Faculty of Law ([email protected]) or to hand it in personally.
