Small Schools Spelling Bee
The Small School’s Spelling Bee for Stage 2
and Stage 3 students will be held on Thursday
2Oth June at Wardell Memorial Hall . Four
students from both stages who will be selected
through our own school spelling bee will be
attending on the day. Griffin, Tyler, Jamie
James, Harvey ,Sean, Ethan and Lacey will be
representing Wardell PS on the day. We wish
them all the best of luck!
Athletics Carnival
Students are reminded that they are able to
wear their house colours for the Wardell PS
Athletics Carnival.

The Northern Rivers Science and
Engineering Discovery Day
The Northern Rivers Science and Engineering
Discovery Day will now be held on
Wednesday , 26th June 2019 at Southern
Cross University. Four students from Stage 3
will be selected to join with other students from
our group of small schools to participate in the
event.
Congratulations to the following students who
have been selected to represent Wardell PS on
the day.

Thank you to those students who have already
returned their notes, parents please note there
is also a separate media permission note
that needs to be signed and returned as
well.
As of Term 3 we will be making some changes
to our Newsletter. Instead of sending our
newsletter home weekly we will be trialling a
fortnightly edition. Newsletters will now be
sent home on even weeks of the school term.

Cross Country Results
Congratulations to both Kylie and Jamie Holmes who recently competed at the District Cross Country. Jamie placed first in his divi-sion , with Kylie placing second in hers. Both Jamie and Kylie will now move on and compete at the North Coast Cross Country at Nana Glen . We wish them good luck and a job well done!
