Master of Science Program in Animal Nutrition

Degree offered : M.Sc.

This program aims to generate the animal nutritionists who can modify and apply their knowledge

and new technologies to the practice. Also they should be able to formulate the effective feed formula at the

lowest cost, and know both positive and negative effects of such nutrients when fed either in excess or

dificit. In addition, the program is planned to conduct any kind of nutritional research of which the results

are applicable in animal farms.

Key research areas :

Advance technology relating to animal nutrition, either monogastric or ruminant animals. Research

focuses on techniques use in feed evaluation, measurements of animal performance and production,

and molecular technique.

Facilities :

The department has laboratories to perform various kinds of chemical analysis including

proximate analysis, Kjeldahl method, chromic oxide analysis etc. A molecular biology laboratory is

also available.
