CERTIFICATE AND RN-MS OPTIONS In addition to this master’s degree, we offer a Post-Master’s Certificate Program for professional nurses desiring to become Clinical Nurse Specialists, holding a Master of Science degree in Nursing, but who are not advanced Practice Registered Nurses. A shorter certificate is available to nurse educators, nurse administrators, and others who hold a MS/MSN but who desire additional specialty preparation in advanced Holistic Nursing.* *A program plan for students enrolling in the post-master’s certificate option will be developed based on previous master’s degree coursework. RN-MS options may be available to qualified students.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Official documentation of an earned bachelor’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university

Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended

Current professional resume

One essay typed and appended to the application: Why do you want to be a Holistic Clinical Nurse Specialist and describe your goals for graduate study in nursing (include an example from your nursing practice that supports these goals)

Two recommendations, preferably from a nursing faculty, a nursing administrator, or your manager

A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above is required

Completion of an undergraduate statistics course Completion of an undergraduate health assessment course for all clinical tracks, as evidenced by transcripts

Eligible for New York State RN Licensure Copy of current malpractice insurance

International applicants are required to have their earned degree evaluated by the World Education Services (WES) to be comparable to United States standards.
