Master Landscape Architecture – SpecializationEuropean Union Environmental Directives
Contents and Goals• Through its environmental directives and supporting programs the European
Union defines the environmental policy of its member states. Most important instruments are the „Habitats“ Directive and „Water Framework“ Directive as well as the “Strategic Environmental Assessment” and the “Environmental Impact Assessment”.
• These instruments are creating a huge potential for jobs and the demand for professionals in ecology and resource management as well as EU legislation.
• The 4 semester Masters degree course is characterized by: - project- and concept-oriented work on scientific base- internationalization, cooperation with other European Union universities
• The course qualifies students in:- analyzing of complex problems and development of innovative solutions, - working independently with the European Unions planning, control and support instruments,
- fill a leading position in landscape architecture and environmental agencies as well as public authorities and respective institutions in Germany and Europe.
2
Formalities• consecutive Master degree course „Master of Engineering“ at Landscape
Architecture - Specialization European Union Environmental Directives
