    The teaching and learning methods employed on the Course

    are designed to help students achieve their individualproessional goals along with the learning objective o theCourse. Courses prioritize an original learning by designingapproach, that has been developed by Domus Academy overthe years.

    The primary vehicle or learning is thereore the project work.

    Emphasis is placed on:

    learning and applying a problem setting approach,ensuring that students refne their critical skills and apply themthroughout their work process;

    ostering a personal creative style and developing an original

    way o expression; developing research skills, which will enable students tosource relevant materials, assimilating and articulating relevantfndings;

    conceiving concepts and visions capable to blend creativelanguages with the actual needs o end users by interpretinga brie, oten based on a real design assignment, in order todesign a project that can match, or even excede, the companysexpectation.

    Student work is constantly supported by the Faculty and byvisiting lecturers, and designers.

    WOrkshOPs

    Workshops are project assignments designed to give studentsa working knowledge o dierent core subjects. All setprojects start with a presentation o a brie. Which outlines thesubject, scope and purpose o the workshop. The workshopculminates in an open presentation to the aculty and invitedproessionals.

    During all presentations, an open discussion on the outcomeo the project is held in ront o a Board chaired by the CourseLeader.

    Feedbacks to students are also part o the fnal assessment

    given to students ater the presentation. The Course Leaderand the Project Leader are available to urther discussassessments with students when required.

    Students work in multi-cultural and international teams toenhance their capacity or teamwork as well as to expose themto a comparison with dierent backgrounds and cultures.

    Students work in mixed groups to support the building o acommon mindset and to share previous experiences.

    Students are exposed to dierent points o view in the designfeld, working with designers and companies. One o thepurposes o this exposure is to give students the broadestview possible o the design feld in order to support them inthe selection o the area in which to concentrate their uture
