As I completemyyearasMaster of the Company, I should like to thankeveryone for the

support Ihave receivedduringmytermofoffice. TheDeputyMaster Edward King,UpperWardenJakiHowes,GeoffreyPurves,JuniorWardenPeterMurrayandClerk IanHeadhave

provided invaluable servicenot only tomeand tomyConsort,Ann Yorke, but also to the

broaderobjectiveofraisingtheprofileoftheCompanyintheLiveryandbeyond.

Ofmanyeventsduringtheyear,thesupportoftheLiveryandRIBAtotheMiloLecturethatI

presentedinFebruary,theCompanyBanquetatCarpentersHall,theFinlandtrip,theRoyal

GardenPartyandtheMastersWeekendIronbridgewillremainfreshinthememoryasevents

whichwillnotrecur.VisittheCompanyBlogforaDiaryoftheyear

The Companyhas seenthesad deaths ofsix Liverymenduring the year,butwe havebeen

heartenedbythejoiningofnewFreemenandinstallationofLiverymen,andbytheindenture

and progression of Students, which is set to continue. However, we wish to see more

applicantstojoinafriendlyforward-lookingModernCompany.Ifyouknowanarchitectfriend

InadditiontothosewhoregularlyparticipateinCompanyevents,therearemanywhohave

rested content topay theirquarterageand receiveemails. I amconscious that They also

servewhoonlystandandwaitandgratefulfortheircontinuedsupport.
