C o u r s e A i mThis seminar has been pioneered to meet the specific needs of the advanced facial surgeon to update and perform advanced techniques of facial cosmetic surgery. This course is known for to “get the advanced tricks” and to “hear about the story behind the story”.

Course DescriptionThe participants will perform aesthetic surgery techniques as described in topics. 80% of the course are hands-on with 20% lectures about explanations of the techniques and live or video taped dissection/operation (displayed on screen), all step by step. A maximum of two participants will be assigned to a fresh and not embalmed cadaver skull - a „close to reality“ simulation of the surgical procedures.

Former President of the Italian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (AICPE). Chairman of AICPE Inter-national, President of the International Medical Academy. Member of several international societies (ISAPS, ASAPS, ASPS etc). TravellingProfessor for the ISAPS. Has published over 70 papers in international reviews, mainly on aesthetic surgery. Author of a two volumes

book on “ Aesthetic surgery of midface and neck”, and of several chapters in different aesthetic surgery texts. He is Professor of plastic surgery at the University of Padova, Italy. Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Hesperia Hospital, Modena and Villa Margherita, Rome. Official reviewer of Aesthetic Surgery Journal and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal Global Open. Appointed with the Hinderer Prize by EASAPS in 2012 and by the Raymond Vilain Award by the ASAPS in 2014. He is Teaching Professor at the University of Padova and gives over 100 lectures per year in congresses and courses all over the world. He has practiced plastic surgery for the last 30 years and has performed over 20.000 operations in this field.

He taught several years at the post-graduate aesthetic plastic surgery classes of various Universities both in Italy and in many other countries. He has been clinical professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Verona from 2002 up to now. He is honorary member of various national plastic surgery societies. He was the first President of the Italian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (AICPE), of which is still the honorary President. He is National Secretary of ISAPS for Italy and an ISAPS travelling professor. And, perhaps even more important, he loves his job!
