♥ Jesus, Thank You ♥

STEWARDSHIP THOUGHT: In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that “Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more.” Have you given real thought lately to how good God has been to you? Do you give in proportion to what God has given you? STEWARDSHIP SUMMARY: We have drawn spiritual and academic life from our parish and Catholic schools. What return will we make of these

gifts? As the good steward of the Gospel, shall we give to God sufficient return for our gifts? Consider a life-culminating gift through your Will.

THIRST: Join us October 25~27, 2019 at the Bismarck Event Center for THIRST 2019. This exciting and free event has something for all ages and backgrounds. Featured guests include: Archbishop Allen Vigneron, Archbishop of Detroit; Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers, known as the “Dynamic Deacon;” Curtis Martin, founder and CEO of the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS). FOSTER FAMILIES NEEDED: Over 1,500 ND children are in foster care. Many of these children are a part of your own community. There is an enormous need for foster parents in ND. Call today & start impacting the life of a child. Part-time or full-time, call for more information at 224~9611 or 1~800~766~9279. Make a difference for these precious children by offering a safe & welcoming home.

REAL PRESENCE RADIO Local Catholic Radio Station. Listen online to Real Presence Radio station 104.1 MHz FM

MARRIAGE MOMENTS: Be prepared! Jesus tells us to be ready for the final coming. (Luke 12:40) How can we be prepared without money and possessions? Discuss how much is enough? PARENTING POINTERS: August 9th was the anniversary of the bombing of Nagasaki, Japan. It is a somber anniversary even though it may have shortened the war. Teach your children how to make peace. See the “Family Pledge of Nonviolence” for a start. (Susan Vogt at www.SusanVogt.net)

This year, the Church will celebrate Catechetical Sunday of September 15, 2019. The 2019 theme will be “Stay with Us.” Those who the Community has designated to serve as catechists will be called forth to be commissioned for their ministry. Catechetical Sunday is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the role that each person plays, by virtue of Baptism, in handing on the faith and being a witness to the Gospel. Catechetical Sunday is an opportunity for all to rededicate themselves to this mission as a community of faith.
